Is it okay to wash your face with sulfur soap? The efficacy of sulfur soap

I believe everyone has heard of washing your face with sulfur soap. Some people say that washing your face with sulfur soap is good for the skin and can remove acne, while others say that washing your face with sulfur soap irritates the skin. In fact, washing your face with sulfur soap does have many benefits, but don't use it frequently.

1. Sulfur soap removes acne

Acne-prone skin is generally oily and acidic. The advantage of washing your face with sulfur soap is that the alkaline nature can neutralize the acidic skin, inhibit the growth of mites and bacteria, and has a better acne-removing effect to a certain extent.

2. Sulfur soap to prevent and treat dry sores

Scabies, commonly known as "dry sores", is an infectious disease in which scabies parasites live on the skin. Normal people can be infected by sleeping in the same bed with a patient, shaking hands, wearing the patient's underwear, covering the patient's quilt, or sharing utensils. Family members are especially likely to be infected from one another, and students and young workers living in collectives are also prone to transmission.

Sulfur soap can effectively prevent and treat dry sores and is cheaper than ordinary soap; however, sulfur soap should not be used frequently to avoid causing dry and peeling skin.

3. Will washing your face with sulfur soap damage your skin?

Sulfur soap is too alkaline and will destroy the weakly acidic environment of the skin. It is more suitable for skin with problems such as dermatitis, and is best not to be used on healthy skin. It can be used on acne-prone skin, but be careful not to use it frequently.

4. Other Benefits of Sulfur Soap

In addition to having a certain preventive and auxiliary therapeutic effect on some skin diseases, sulfur soap can also clean the body and has the effect of removing dandruff and relieving itching. Long-term use can prevent and treat skin itching, scabies, athlete's foot, body odor, etc., but be careful not to use it too frequently.

5. Note

Sulfur soap is not suitable for long-term use; acne is a skin disease that requires symptomatic treatment, and the skin with red blood vessels is relatively thin and sensitive, so treatment is recommended to avoid causing other cosmetic symptoms.
