What is low aspartate aminotransferase

When the aspartate aminotransferase test result is lower than the normal value, it means that the liver is damaged. For normal people, the value of aspartate aminotransferase will fluctuate. It is normal to be low or high. But what if the aspartate aminotransferase level remains low for a long time?

Alanine aminotransferase is low. Alanine aminotransferase is mainly present in liver cells, and its normal value is between 0-40 units. When it is significantly increased or decreased, it often indicates liver damage. This liver damage is only the "result" and cannot indicate the cause of the liver damage, nor can it be arbitrarily assumed to be hepatitis. The cause must be further investigated, such as whether there is hepatitis virus, whether the patient is addicted to alcohol, whether the patient is obese, whether there is fatty liver, whether there is heart disease, whether there is a history of chemical poisoning, whether there is a history of parasitic disease, etc.

For healthy people, an increase or decrease in alanine aminotransferase level within the normal range does not mean that there is a problem with the liver, because the transferase itself is very sensitive, and the level of a healthy person may fluctuate when checked at different times of the day. The level of alanine aminotransferase may be low in the morning. Once you exercise, the level of alanine aminotransferase will change, and may even exceed the normal level. If it is low or high for a long time, you need to go to the hospital for a check-up to determine whether you are infected with hepatitis.

Alanine aminotransferase that is slightly elevated is only meaningful for the diagnosis of liver disease, but a slightly elevated level is of little significance. It only means that the liver can synthesize pyruvate normally using this enzyme. Take liver protection tablets for treatment, drink Ganoderma lucidum tea regularly, and pay attention to rest. Recheck liver function after one month.
