Can cerebral atherosclerosis be cured?

Can cerebral atherosclerosis be cured?

Cerebral atherosclerosis is treatable, but at the same time, it is more important to do a good job of prevention in life, strictly control calorie intake, control your diet, try to avoid high-fat, high-cholesterol foods, and eat a light diet.

1. Control your calorie intake. The calories you consume must be balanced with the calories you burn, and it is best to keep this balance within the standard weight range. If you are overweight or obese, you should not only "control your diet", but also increase physical activity to increase energy consumption.

2. A low-fat diet requires less animal oil. Vegetable oils such as soybean oil, peanut oil, and corn oil can be used for cooking. The heat energy generated by the fat intake of each adult per day should account for 20-25% of the total heat energy source for the day. As long as the daily intake of oil per person reaches 25 grams, it can meet the body's needs. Eat less egg yolks and animal offal such as liver and kidneys.

3. Low-sugar diet: Eat less refined sugar, sugary sweets and drinks. Sugar can be converted into fat accumulation in the human body, which can not only increase weight, but also increase blood sugar, blood lipids and blood viscosity, which is extremely detrimental to the recovery of arteriosclerosis.

4. Low-salt diet: Patients with arteriosclerosis usually have hypertension. The total amount of salt intake per day for normal adults should be around 6 grams; patients with arteriosclerosis and hypertension should consume even less. To avoid affecting appetite due to insufficient salt, you can add some vinegar, tomato sauce or sesame paste when cooking. In addition to seasoning, vinegar can also promote digestion and absorption. Sesame paste is high in calcium and regular consumption can supplement calcium. Calcium ions can increase the density of the vascular endothelium and are beneficial for preventing cerebral hemorrhage.

5. Supplement protein and fiber. While reducing the fat content in the diet, you can appropriately increase protein nutrition, such as eating appropriate amounts of small seafood such as clams, lean meat, skinless poultry, and tofu and dried tofu rich in plant protein. Eat more green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and whole grains to increase fiber intake and reduce the amount of fat and cholesterol absorbed by the intestines. In addition, pay attention to drinking water. Patients with arteriosclerosis should drink less sugary drinks and more boiled water to dilute the blood.
