Gout arthritis is a type of arthritis caused by gout. The main cause is poor diet and frequent consumption of high-protein foods. For gout patients in the acute stage, certain anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatments should be carried out in time. They should drink more water and strictly control high-purine diet. In addition, they must quit drinking, not stay up late, and avoid the body becoming acidic. (1) Timely use of anti-inflammatory analgesics in the acute phase: Immediately choose a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as indomethacin, Difen or Lesong, and stop taking the drug after the joint symptoms disappear. It can be taken orally and used externally. Note that the local area should not be hot but cold, and the limb should be elevated for rest. Although colchicine has a good analgesic effect, it should not be the first choice due to its many side effects. During the attack period, do not use drugs that lower blood uric acid, such as levofloxacin or allopurinol, to avoid prolonging the acute phase. Patients with recurrent gout should seek treatment from a rheumatologist and be hospitalized if necessary. (2) Drink plenty of water and take sodium bicarbonate tablets orally: The daily water intake should exceed 2000 ml, and sodium bicarbonate should be taken to alkalize urine and promote uric acid excretion. (3) Strict low-purine diet and abstinence from alcohol: Low-purine diets mostly include vegetarian food, eggs, milk and gelatinous foods. Pay attention to reducing high-purine foods such as various soy products, animal offal, seafood, broth, fish soup and beef, especially during an attack. Drinking alcohol can often induce or aggravate gouty arthritis. (4) Avoid staying up late: Staying up late creates an acidic environment in the human body, which is not conducive to the excretion of uric acid and will instead induce gout attacks. (5) Regularly monitor blood uric acid levels and urine pH, and seek medical attention regularly. (6) Actively prevent and treat related diseases: Many related diseases often coexist with gout, such as obesity, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypertension, and require active treatment. It plays a positive role in controlling the recurrence of gout. |
