Will liver nodules disappear?

Will liver nodules disappear?

The liver plays an important role in the human body structure, so people are very concerned about their liver health. Liver nodules are undoubtedly a worrying disease, because if not treated properly they may develop into malignant diseases such as liver cancer. If they are benign, they will gradually disappear through scientific treatment in the later stages, so regular check-ups are very important.

1. Small liver nodules are difficult to diagnose

Because this nodule is small, the imaging manifestations are often atypical, or the level of CT and MRI in local hospitals is limited, it is sometimes difficult to diagnose clearly. According to the experience of liver cancer diagnosis in my country, most cases of liver cancer have a background of liver disease, such as hepatitis virus infection or liver fluke infection.

2. You can first check the hepatitis B two-pair half

If you are worried, it is best to go to the hospital to check the hepatitis B two-pair-half test. If the hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBeAg) is positive, it is highly suspected that the nodule is primary liver cancer. If HBsAg is negative, regular follow-up can be adopted. Benign tumors are more common in hepatic hemangiomas, and most do not require treatment. In addition, it is also necessary to go to a hospital with good conditions for further examination. Large hospitals not only have more advanced medical equipment, but also doctors have higher diagnostic skills and more experience.

3. Drink less alcohol to prevent liver cancer

Many studies have shown that alcohol consumption is positively correlated with the mortality rate of liver cancer, and the type of alcohol is also one of the risk factors for liver cancer. The risk of drinking mixed drinks or strong liquor is 7.41 times and 6.5 times that of not drinking. The chance of developing liver cancer after drinking mixed drinks is 6.10 times that of drinking mild drinks or not drinking.

Although alcohol is not necessarily a carcinogen of liver cancer, it can act as an inducer and promoter of liver cancer risk factors such as HBV and sex hormones, and has the effect of reinforcing or promoting carcinogens.

4. Hepatitis B vaccine injection

The hepatitis B virus infection rate in the Chinese population is as high as over 13%. Once infected with hepatitis B, there is currently no complete cure. Therefore, preventing hepatitis is one of the most important measures to prevent liver cancer. Hepatitis B virus is transmitted through body fluids (such as blood, secretions, etc.). In addition to paying attention to the hygiene of blood products and not sharing razors and toothbrushes with others, vaccination against hepatitis B is the simplest and most effective method of prevention. Not only do children need to be vaccinated against hepatitis B when they are born, but adults who have not been vaccinated against hepatitis B and have not had hepatitis can also be vaccinated against hepatitis B.

5. Do not eat moldy food

Moldy food often contains aflatoxin, which is also one of the important factors that promote liver cancer. Moldy foods, such as moldy corn, peanuts, melon seeds, etc., contain more aflatoxin and cannot be eaten.

6. Regular inspection

If someone in the family has liver cancer or other types of tumors, other family members should pay special attention. In addition to the anti-cancer measures mentioned above (preventing hepatitis, not eating moldy food, etc.), you should also develop the good habit of regular physical examinations. Every 6 months, go to the hospital for an abdominal B-ultrasound examination + serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) test. It is recommended that men over 40 years old or women over 50 years old, people who drink alcohol for a long time, and diabetic patients go to the hospital for a physical examination every year.
