Wrist injuries are a common occurrence in daily life. Generally, the wrist will easily become swollen and painful when it is traumatized by the outside world, which greatly affects normal life. If the wrist is swollen and painful, you can first use ice to reduce the swelling, or do some local massage to make the blood circulation smooth and reduce pain. How to recover from a wrist injury When you sprain your wrist, there will often be local swelling. Within 24 hours, you can use ice or a cool towel to apply cold compresses to prevent the swelling from expanding. Then use hot compresses to improve blood circulation and promote the absorption of blood stasis. After using cold and hot compresses, you can take blood stasis, swelling and pain relief drugs such as Shujin Huoxue tablets, Qilin powder, Dieda pills and other medicines to relax the muscles and tendons, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. Tongjin recommends the use of acupuncture for treatment. Acupuncture treatment can not only quickly cure sprains in 1-3 sessions, but also takes less time and costs less money. After spraining your wrist, you should give your wrist proper rest to avoid fatigue that may aggravate the condition. You can also do appropriate exercises occasionally to restore wrist strength. Wrap the injured joint with an elastic bandage and keep the injured area elevated throughout the day to prevent swelling. Take 50 grams each of gardenia and frankincense, grind them into powder, add appropriate amount of rice wine, heat in a pot, stir into a paste, and apply to the affected area. The medicine is 1.5 cm thick, covered with oil paper, and bandaged with gauze. Change the dressing once every two days. It is contraindicated for those with skin lesions.
