What causes a bloated stomach?

Nowadays, many young people are busy with work and often have irregular eating habits. This can easily lead to stomach diseases in the long run. For example, some people experience stomach bloating, which is very uncomfortable and has a great impact on daily life. There are many reasons for stomach bloating, some of which may be caused by diseases, such as indigestion or chronic gastritis.

What causes stomach bloating?

A common cause of stomach bloating is weakened gastric motility, which causes food to stay in the stomach for too long after eating, producing a large amount of gas, which further increases the pressure in the stomach, leading to a feeling of fullness and pressure in the upper abdomen. Gastroscopy can determine whether there is a primary disease in the stomach, duodenum or esophagus. If gastritis or peptic ulcer is present, acid-suppressing drugs and drugs that increase gastrointestinal motility can promote the healing of peptic ulcer or gastritis, thereby improving the symptoms of stomach fullness. Simple poor gastric motility can be treated with drugs that increase gastric motility.

What causes the feeling of fullness?

The feeling of fullness refers to the phenomenon that there is too much gas, water, food or food residue in the gastrointestinal tract, causing the gastrointestinal tract to be inflated, expanded and the abdomen to be bloated.

Patients with a feeling of fullness often have decreased appetite, reduced food intake, no feeling of hunger, abdominal discomfort, as well as nausea, fatigue and other symptoms. The symptoms will improve slightly after the diaphragm is punctured and the anus is exhausted.

Feelings of fullness are common in the following disorders:

(1) Gastrointestinal inflammation: chronic atrophic gastritis, chronic superficial gastritis, chronic colitis.

(2) Gastrointestinal ulcers: gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer.

(3) Tumors: esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, intestinal cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, etc.

(4) Liver disease: acute and chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis.

(5) Gallbladder and pancreatic diseases: chronic cholecystitis, chronic pancreatitis, etc.

(6) Others: cold, fever, anemia, heart failure, gastrointestinal neurosis and other diseases.

Treatment for bloating:

On the basis of actively treating the primary disease, the patient can be given symptomatic treatment: 1 Muxiang Shunqi Pill, twice a day; 4-8 Xiaozhang Tablets, 3 times a day; 4 Duomei Tablets, 3 times a day, etc.
