Tongue coating and diseases

Tongue coating and diseases

Generally speaking, when some diseases are in the early stages, the body will usually show some symptoms. We can usually judge the disease based on the symptoms, but some diseases are not particularly obvious in the early stages and are often easily ignored. In fact, at this time we can judge the health of the body by observing the tongue coating. Different tongue coatings indicate different diseases.

What is the relationship between tongue coating and disease?

A normal and healthy tongue should be rosy and moist, but sometimes, our tongue coating may appear in some strange colors, such as yellow, white, gray, etc. These are manifestations of problems inside our body, and some tongue coating characteristics are even signs of serious illness.

1. White moss

Tongue coating is a common type of tongue coating. According to Chinese medicine, a thin, white and overly lubricated tongue coating is often seen in patients with superficial cold syndrome. The tongue coating is white, slippery and rotten, which indicates heat accumulation in the stomach. In other words, the causes of white tongue coating are mostly due to cold constitution and damp spleen, so everyone needs to take more care of it.

But pay attention to the appearance of this kind of moss: full of raw clothes, moldy moss or erosion spots. This is caused by a more serious deficiency of gastric qi and may indicate serious organ disease.

Good recipe:

1. Lychee porridge

Preparation method: Remove the core of the dried lychees, wash them together with the rice, put them in a casserole, add appropriate amount of water and boil, and eat for 3 to 5 days.

2. Asparagus and Bamboo Shoot Porridge

Wash the fresh reed root, cut it into small pieces, boil it with bamboo shavings, remove the residue and take the juice, add it into rice and cook it into porridge. When the porridge is almost done, add ginger and cook it for a while.

2. Yellow Moss

Yellow tongue coating is mainly caused by excessive heat in the body. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that a thin, yellow and dry tongue coating indicates excessive internal heat and loss of body fluids. The tongue coating is yellow, smooth and moist, which is a sign of yang deficiency. Therefore, if you have yellow tongue coating, it means that you need to eliminate heat.

Good recipe:

1. Adenophora and Duck Soup

Preparation method: Cut the duck meat into small pieces, put it into a soup pot, add Adenophora Root, ginger slices and water and boil. The duration is 6 to 8 hours. Eat 1 to 2 times a week.

3. Gray moss

The tongue coating is thin and smooth, which is mostly caused by internal obstruction of cold and dampness, or stagnation of phlegm and fluid. Gray and dry tongue coating indicates fever or yin deficiency and excessive fire. In other words, gray tongue coating is mainly caused by yellow tongue coating that has not been treated in time, and is mostly caused by heat and humidity in the body. It is a more serious symptom of damp heat. Attention should be paid to regulating the spleen and stomach, and removing dampness and heat.

1. Asparagus porridge

Preparation method: 60 grams of asparagus and 100 grams of rice. Fry the asparagus into a thick juice, remove the residue, add it to rice and cook into porridge, and eat it for breakfast.
