Peach gum is actually the gum secreted by the tree. The desserts made with it taste very good and contain a lot of nutrients. When collecting fresh peach gum, the first step is to disinfect the peach gum collected, then dry it and store it. The dessert made by stewing papaya and peach gum is loved by many female friends. The gum secreted by peach tree trunk is called peach gum. Peach gum is a translucent polysaccharide with a wide range of uses. It is used as acid printing paste in the textile industry, as protective adhesive in flower tube engraving technology, as gold powder adhesive in the printing industry, and can also be used for food, medicine and as paper adhesive, and can replace imported gum arabic. Now we introduce the harvesting and processing methods of peach gum. 1. Harvesting: Peach gum is harvested during the peach tree growing season. Use a knife to scrape the gum from the trunks of the above-mentioned trees and dry them in the sun to obtain the raw material of peach gum. The bark must not be damaged when harvesting peach gum. 2. Removal of impurities: Soak the harvested dry peach gum raw materials in water (solid-liquid ratio is 1:2). When the raw materials swell, tear them into small pieces, remove impurities such as bark, sawdust, mud and sand, drain off the water and transfer to the next process. 3. Hydrolysis: Add the impurity-free raw materials and water into a jacketed reaction pot, stir and heat with steam or oil bath, and control the temperature at about 120°C. The reaction is completed after 3-6 hours, and then filtered through a 40-mesh copper wire screen and loaded into a large tank to obtain the product to be bleached. 4. Bleaching: Stir the product to be bleached vigorously, and gradually add 10% sodium chlorate bleaching solution, and add 0.1%-0.2% formaldehyde or 0.005% carbendazim for preservation. That is a semi-finished product that basically does not fade. 5. Dry and place it in a stainless steel plate and blow it with steam, or heat it directly in a pot with fire. Turn it over constantly during the heating process. After drying, you will get a paste product with a water content of 50%. If dried in the sun or in an oven, pure solid peach gum can be obtained. Preparation method Soak in water, wash away impurities, and dry in the sun. How to eat Papaya peach gum is stewed with papaya, which tastes sweet with a slight bitterness.
