1. Lung Meridian

The lung meridian is located on the human arm. Its main function is to prevent and improve discomfort in the respiratory system and five senses. Therefore, if there is discomfort in these parts, you must tap your lung meridian. This issue of meridian health care will take you to understand where the lung meridian is in the body.

Where is the lung meridian located in the body

The Neijing says: "All qi belongs to the lungs. The lungs are responsible for spreading and descending. The lungs are the source of water. The lungs open to the nose. The lungs are responsible for the skin and hair. All qi, anger and depression, belong to the lungs. In the mind, it is sadness and sorrow. In the fluid, it is tears."

Any breathing-related disease, such as asthma, cough, cold, etc., can be treated by finding the major acupoints on the lung meridian. The lungs control the skin and fur. Many chronic skin diseases are directly related to the function of the lungs and can be cured by starting from the lung meridian. The lungs are responsible for emotions such as sadness. As the saying goes, sadness hurts the lungs, and the pent-up energy is difficult to dispel, so we need to find a way to release it out.

Course: The Lung Hand Taiyin Meridian starts from the middle-jiao stomach, goes down to the large intestine, goes along the stomach mouth, goes up to the diaphragm, and belongs to the lung. From the lung system, it goes out horizontally from the armpit (Zhongfu, Yunmen), goes down along the inside of the arm, goes to the front of Shaoyin and the heart master (Tianfu, Xiabai), goes down to the middle of the elbow (Chize), follows the lower edge of the upper bone of the inner arm (Kongzui), enters the Cunkou (Jingqu, Taiyuan), goes up to the fish, follows the fish edge, and comes out at the tip of the thumb (Shaoshang).

Its branches: from the back of the wrist (lieque), straight out of the inner side of the second finger, out of its end

Range: The hand Taiyin lung meridian is distributed on the chest and inner side of the arm, with 11 points on each side, for a total of 22 points. Two points are located on the upper chest and nine points are distributed on the radial side of the palm surface of the upper limb. It runs from the chest to the fingers, starting from the Zhongfu point on the chest, passing through the inner side of the arm, and ending at the Shaoshang point on the thumb.

Function: Used to prevent and improve discomfort in the respiratory system and five sense organs.

Taiyuan Point

2. Important Acupoints on the Lung Meridian

1. The original acupoint of the lung meridian - "Taiyuan Point", has excellent effect in replenishing qi. It has a good effect in improving physical weakness, lack of energy, weak speech and pale complexion.

Chize Point

2. "Chize Point" - It is an important acupoint for tonifying the kidney and can also treat high blood pressure. (Located at the elbow of the arm, when locating the acupoint, first raise your arm. There is a thick key in the center of the inner side of the arm, and the concave part outside the key is this point.)

Kongzui Point

3. "Kongzui Point" - With your palm facing up, relax your forearm and raise it horizontally, use your other hand to make an empty fist and use the metacarpophalangeal joint of your little finger along the line between the thumb and the palm of your forearm to lightly tap the "Kongzui Point" three finger widths below the elbow joint. People with cough, dry throat, and blocked lung meridian will feel obvious pain here. It is effective for cough and tonsillitis caused by colds, and can also treat hemorrhoids.

Yuji Point

4. "Yuji Point" - located at the junction of the red and white flesh at the midpoint of the first metacarpal bone. When there is lung disease, pressing and rubbing this area will also cause obvious pain, and it can cure cough and asthma. (Rubbing the thenar eminence of children often can also make them love eating and have a good appetite!)

According to the principle of "replenishing the mother when deficient", the method of "cultivating the earth to produce gold", that is, the method of strengthening the spleen and benefiting the lungs, is often adopted. The driving force of lung qi comes from the spleen and stomach. The acupoints for replenishing lung qi are: Taiyuan, the "origin" point of the lung, or Taibai, the origin point of the spleen meridian, the mother meridian of the lung.

The best time to dredge the lung meridian is to massage the above acupoints frequently during 9-11 am on the spleen meridian of the foot. Boil some pear juice and white foods: yam, lily, and white fungus. Yam also has the effect of nourishing the kidneys, it strengthens the spleen and kidneys. It is recommended to wash and steam it.

3. How to tap the lung meridian

Let your left hand hang naturally with the palm facing forward. Make an empty fist with your right hand and tap with a little force from the left shoulder socket along the outer side of the arm to the tip of the thumb, focusing on the shoulder socket, elbow, and palm. Then, clench your right fist and tap the large intestine meridian on your left arm. Let your left hand hang naturally, and tap from the outside of your index finger along the inner side of the arm all the way up to the deltoid muscle. The key points are the same as for the lung meridian. Finally, switch over, make a fist with your left hand and tap the lung meridian and large intestine meridian on the right arm. Tap each side for one minute, from the upper arm to the wrist, tapping the entire meridian. After the beating, go to the toilet to defecate.
