The most common cause of uremia

The most common cause of uremia

The origins of all human diseases are not inexplicable. Every disease has its cause. People often say that diseases come from the mouth. Not paying attention to your diet in daily life is most likely to cause diseases, especially eating pasta and food that is too salty, which is most likely to increase the burden on the kidneys. If the kidneys are overburdened for a long time, it will cause lesions, weaken the kidney's water reabsorption function, and lead to a series of complications. For example, diabetes and uremia, besides diet, what other causes are there for uremia?

The most common causes of uremia are:

1. Chronic kidney infectious diseases: such as chronic pyelonephritis, can also lead to uremia.

2. Various types of primary glomerulonephritis: membranoproliferative nephritis, rapidly progressive nephritis, membranous nephritis, focal glomerulosclerosis, etc. will eventually lead to uremia if they are not treated actively and effectively.

3. Secondary to systemic diseases: such as hypertension and arteriosclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis, diabetes, gout, etc., can cause uremia.

The causes of uremia are complex, such as improper use of drugs, contact with certain chemicals, microbial infection, environmental pollution, and unhealthy food that form antigens in the body, stimulating the body to produce immune complexes. When the complexes flow through the blood to the glomerular basement membrane, they will form deposits, stimulate the immune mechanism, cause hypersensitivity reactions, cause immune damage, and form glomerulonephritis. There are also people who are repeatedly infected with hemolytic streptococci. Because the bacteria and the glomerular basement membrane have common components called common antigens, when the body produces anti-hemolytic streptococcal antibodies, it also causes immune damage to the glomerular basement membrane. There are also other factors that cause nephritis, such as tumors, tuberculosis, infections, etc. When nephritis develops to a certain extent, it will form renal failure and manifest as uremia.

Uremia is not a single disease. It can develop from chronic kidney disease, or it can be secondary to diabetes, hypertension, lupus erythematosus, allergic purpura, gout, etc. Some people with uremia have never been diagnosed with kidney disease before being diagnosed with the disease by a doctor, nor have they experienced symptoms such as low back pain or backache, so they mistakenly believe that uremia occurs directly. In fact, uremia occurs because the kidneys have been damaged unknowingly. Some patients experience minor symptoms such as blurred vision, decreased appetite, physical fatigue, foam in the urine, increased frequency of urination at night, etc., but they do not take them seriously or attribute these symptoms to other diseases. It is this misconception and lack of understanding of uremia that delays the treatment of kidney disease, allowing kidney disease to continue to deteriorate and progress, eventually turning into uremia.
