The spine and vertebral column are actually two different parts in our body. Some people also think that the spine is the vertebral column. In fact, ankylosing spondylitis is a more serious disease, and spondylitis is mostly tuberculous. The appearance of these two diseases looks very similar, and patients will have very similar feelings when they are ill, but X-rays show that the conditions are different. So what are the differences between spondylitis and spondylitis? Ankylosing spondylitis has a certain relationship with genetics and is more common in young and middle-aged men aged 15-30. The early symptoms are not obvious, and patients often have symptoms such as back pain and waist inflexibility. Afterwards, the patient will experience unilateral or ipsilateral pain in the sacroiliac joint, tenderness in the sacroiliac joint, and a positive sacroiliac joint test. In addition, patients may also have unilateral or bilateral hip pain. As the disease progresses, the patient's hip joint movement is gradually restricted, and becomes flexed and stiff. Another 30-40% of patients with ankylosing spondylitis may also suffer from acute iritis. Spondylitis is also known as bamboo joint wind. Currently, the medical community has no satisfactory understanding of this disease. It mainly occurs in young people. The initial symptoms are lower back pain. Spondylitis first erodes the sacroiliac joints and gradually spreads upward, causing calcification of the ligaments of the spine joints. X-rays show that the intervertebral space disappears and the spine becomes bamboo-like. It is difficult to detect in the early stage. In the late stage, the back pain worsens, and the patient cannot sit for a long time. Finally, a severe hunchback is formed, the neck is stiff, and the patient cannot stand upright. The symptoms of pain and numbness in the waist are considered to be caused by lumbar disc herniation, which is likely to be caused by compression of the nerve roots. Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of spondylitis. A lumbar magnetic resonance imaging is required. The treatment plan should be selected according to the examination results and should be handled in a timely manner. Spondylitis is a broad concept with many types and many causes. It can cause symptoms such as spinal pain, stiffness, and ankylosing spondylitis, but ankylosing spondylitis is just one of them. Only when sacroiliitis is obvious and HLA-B2 is positive, is it ankylosing spondylitis, which is an autoimmune disease. It is recommended to go to the rheumatology and immunology department or a specialized hospital for systematic treatment. Through treatment, the patient's erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein, immune serum IgA, etc. can return to normal/significantly reduce, thereby achieving long-term effective anti-recurrence. |
