Lumbar pain is not an independent disease, but a symptom of multiple diseases. Diseases such as exertional low back pain, acute and chronic low back injuries, bone hyperplasia, arthritis, kidney disease, lumbar muscle strain, and lumbar disc herniation can all cause lumbar pain. The tension of women's waist muscles, fascia and ligaments around the lumbar spine is not as strong as that of men. They have poor adaptability to high-load exercise and are prone to strain. After a woman becomes pregnant, the uterus gradually enlarges, causing the lumbar spine to bend forward. The body's center of gravity shifts backward, changing the structure of the small joints of the lumbar spine and losing the normal physiological center of gravity balance, causing some of the waist muscles, fascia and ligaments to be in a state of high tension for a long time, resulting in chronic strain. In the late pregnancy, the abdominal organs move upward, and then suddenly drop down after delivery, pulling the peritoneum, which is also an important cause of low back pain in women. In addition to the above physiological factors, some gynecological diseases are also important factors causing lumbosacral pain.

Gynecological diseases causing lumbosacral pain

1. Genital inflammation

Lumbar pain often worsens after excessive fatigue, sexual intercourse, and before and after menstruation. Patients often feel systemic symptoms such as low back pain, back pain, lower abdominal discomfort or distension, low fever, fatigue, and loss of appetite.

2. Abnormal uterine position

The normal uterus is in a slightly flexed and forward position, and the surrounding ligaments function freely. When the uterus is retroflexed or tilted, adhesions are formed due to inflammation of the uterus and surrounding areas, causing tractional lumbar pain. This situation often occurs after frequent abortions, multiple births or other uterine surgeries. Uterine prolapse, prolapse, or high adhesions in the abdominal cavity can pull on the ligaments and cause low back pain.

3. Pelvic tumors

Such as uterine fibroids, cervical cancer, ovarian tumors and other diseases. Because early tumors are deep in the pelvic cavity and difficult to detect, when the tumor compresses the nerves or cancer cells invade the connective tissue of the pelvic cavity, it can cause low back pain.

4. Urinary system diseases

Due to their anatomical and physiological characteristics, women are more susceptible to urinary tract infections, such as acute and chronic pyelonephritis, which manifests as soreness or dull pain in the lower back and radiates along the ureter to the perineum. In addition, urinary stones, tuberculosis, tumors, etc. can also cause tumors.

5. Abnormal IUD

Some female lumbar sacral pain is often caused by abnormal IUDs, including IUD model not matching the uterine cavity, IUD being too elastic or IUD being abnormally positioned. Due to the above reasons, the IUD is lodged in the uterine cavity, stimulating the uterine wall and causing reflex pain in the lumbar sacral region. In this case, you can remove the IUD, change the ring model, and put the ring on again.
