What is the reason for the pain in the bones on both sides of the buttocks

If you often feel bone pain on both sides of your buttocks, be careful that it may be sciatica. This is because most people sit for a long time without paying attention to exercise. In addition, long-term inactivity will lead to local blood circulation problems, which will cause sciatica. Sciatica can be divided into multiple types. Usually, you need to find the cause and choose the appropriate method of treatment.

What causes pain in both sides of the buttocks?

Sciatica ranks first among various neuralgia in the body and is a common disease. But sciatica is just a symptom of the disease, it is not an independent disease itself. The age of onset is usually between 20 and 60 years old, with the most common age being around 40. It is rare before the age of 20 and after the age of 60.

Sciatica refers to pain along the sciatic nerve and its distribution area. In other words, pain in the buttocks, back of the thigh, posterior and lateral side of the calf, and outer edge of the foot caused by any reason is called sciatica.

What is sciatica? How many types of sciatica can be divided into?

Sciatica is divided into two major categories, namely primary sciatica and secondary sciatica, and the causes of the two are different.

1. Primary sciatica

Primary sciatica is mainly caused by direct damage to the sciatic nerve due to infection or poisoning, also known as sciatica, which is rare in clinical practice. It often occurs simultaneously with myositis and fibromyositis. Cold and dampness may be the triggering factors.

2. Secondary sciatica

Secondary sciatica is pain caused by irritation, compression or damage of the sciatic nerve pathway by lesions in adjacent tissues. Most of the sciatica seen clinically is secondary sciatica.

Symptoms: Sciatica often occurs after trauma, physical labor or cold, or recurs due to the above reasons. Most cases present with unilateral pain, but some present with bilateral pain. Typical sciatica presents as pain in one side of the waist and buttocks, radiating to the posterior thigh, posterior and lateral side of the calf, and lateral side of the foot. Walking and changing body position can aggravate the pain, and raising the affected leg is more painful when lying down.
