Quick solution to belching

Quick solution to belching

Belching is a relatively common phenomenon, which is what we commonly call hiccups or burps in life. It is a kind of digestive tract disease. Occasional belching is a normal phenomenon. If belching occurs frequently, you should pay attention to it, because it means that the gastrointestinal tract is weak and needs to be adjusted and treated. When belching occurs frequently, you should adjust your diet and take some small methods to relieve the belching phenomenon.

1. Abdominal massage: Place the palm of one hand on the upper abdomen and the palm of the other hand on the back of that hand, overlap your hands, and rub in a clockwise direction for 3 to 5 minutes.

2. Massage Neiguan acupoint: Use the tip of your thumb to massage Neiguan acupoint (2 inches above the transverse wrist crease) for 3 to 5 minutes.

3. Acupressure Zusanli point: Use the fingertips to press and rub the Zusanli point (3 inches below the outer knee of both legs, 1 horizontal finger away from the anterior crest of the tibia) twice a day, each time for 3 to 5 minutes.

4. The method to treat heartburn and belching is to press the "Zhongwan Point" in the center of the line connecting the sternum and the navel, which is quite effective. While exhaling, press this area firmly with your thumb for 6 seconds. Repeat this 5 times and the uncomfortable feeling in your chest will disappear.

5. Press the "third Lidui" point. The third Lidui point is located between the first and second joints of the third toe. Use the previous method to press down firmly with your thumb and index finger. Repeat this three times.

Precautions

You should try to avoid getting your abdomen cold, and develop good eating habits, such as: eat regularly and don't overeat. In autumn and winter, you should drink a few sips of warm water before meals; don't eat too cold or too hot food; chew slowly when eating, and avoid eating while talking; keep a happy and peaceful mood when eating.

Causes

1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

Bile reflux gastritis, eating too much, the stomach cannot be emptied on time, food accumulates in the stomach for too long, causing belching.

2. Mental stress

Depression can also affect the sympathetic nerves, making them overly tense, inhibiting the gastric motility and emptying function, causing stored food to remain in the stomach for too long, leading to the production of fermented gas.

3. Bad diet and lifestyle habits

Eating too much radish, potato, sweet potato, chestnut and other foods, or staying in bed for a long time, working at a desk for a long time, and lack of physical activity can also affect gastric emptying.

4. Gastric outlet obstruction

Belching is a common complication of duodenal ulcer, also accompanied by upper abdominal distension and discomfort, anorexia, nausea and vomiting.

5. Hiatal hernia

Belching often occurs after eating and is often accompanied by heartburn, acid regurgitation, and abdominal bloating. Patients often complain of dull pain under the sternum or in the precordial area, which may also radiate to the shoulder. Other symptoms include difficulty swallowing, nausea, weight loss, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, coughing, and bad breath.

6. Peptic ulcer

It is a common disease that often causes belching. The basic symptoms are heartburn and burning stomach pain. The pain may be relieved after eating or taking antacids or drugs that reduce secretions. Associated symptoms and signs include dysphagia, nausea, vomiting, melena, abdominal distension, feelings of fullness, and epigastric tenderness.

prevention

In order to reduce recurrence, you should eat less spicy, irritating and greasy food, especially quit smoking and drinking, and eat more vegetables, fruits and green foods.

1. Eat in moderation, at regular times and in regular amounts.
