How to open the cork of red wine

How to open the cork of red wine

Everyone must have drunk red wine. Before the bottle is opened, it is blocked with a cork. Some people who drink red wine for the first time don’t know how to open it, or they can’t open it when they can’t find a wine opener. In fact, the red wine cork can be opened through some other ways, but many people don’t know how to open it. So how do you open the red wine cork?

1. Towel bottle opening method

1. Wrap a towel around the bottom of the wine bottle.

2. Place the bottom of the bottle against the wall, keep the bottle body vertical to the wall, and hit the bottom of the bottle evenly and forcefully, and the cork will slowly be pushed out.

3. Once the cork is partially pushed out, you can pull it out with your hands or pliers.

2. Screwdriver bottle opening method

1. Nail part of the screw into the cork and leave the other part outside.

2. Use pliers to tighten the screw and pull it out together with the cork.

3. Knife-type bottle opening method

1. Use a fruit knife or a serrated knife (note: the blade should not be too wide or too narrow, it should just be able to penetrate the cork without cutting the edge of the cork).

2. Insert the blade into the center of the cork, trying to avoid cutting the edges. Hold the bottleneck with one hand and slowly turn the handle to drive the cork to turn together; do not use too much force when turning. Then slowly lift the knife handle upwards and slowly pull out the cork.

4. Hook bottle opening method

1. Find a hook or a thin steel wire.

2. Use pliers to adjust the angle of the hook or wire to an appropriate level.

3. Insert the hook into the bottle from one side of the cork, rotate the hook and hook the cork to pull it out.

5. Shoelace bottle opening method

1. Find shoelaces or other sturdy rope.

2. Tie a knot at one end of the strap.

3. Use a sturdy steel needle to bring the strap into the bottom of the cork.

4. Take out the steel needle and pull the belt outwards with force, pulling the cork out together.

6. Paperclip bottle opening method

1. Take two paper clips and a pen. Partially straighten the paper clip, keeping the bends at both ends intact.

2. Insert two paper clips into the bottle through the gap between the cork and the bottle mouth until one end of the paper clip is lower than the cork.

3. Rotate the paper clip to hook the cork.

4. Wrap the other end of the paper clip tightly, insert the pen into the wrapped part, pull it up, and slowly pull out the cork.

Knife bottle opener: First wipe the wine bottle clean, then use a knife to cut the rubber cap on the bottle mouth, and then wipe the bottle mouth clean. At this time, insert the tip of the screw drill into the center of the cork, then upright the screw drill and slowly rotate it clockwise to drill into the cork. First, buckle the first movable joint to the bottle mouth and hold it tightly with your left hand; then use your right hand to lift the handle straight up. When the cork is half out, buckle the second joint to the bottle mouth and repeat the previous action. If you feel the cork is about to come out, stop, hold the cork with your hand, and gently shake or turn it, and the cork will come out.

Seahorse corkscrew: Press the back of the knife and cut 180 degrees counterclockwise at the raised part of the bottle mouth, then cut another 180 degrees clockwise until the bottle is open. Then aim at the cork, push vertically downward, and rotate the wine knife clockwise. Remember not to drill through the cork. Use the outermost horseshoe-shaped part to press against the bottle mouth and lift the knife handle upwards with force until the bottle is opened. Do not take out the cork directly to prevent sawdust from falling. Just pull it apart slowly.

Pneumatic corkscrew: Place the paper cutter at 90 degrees on the top of the wine bottle, hold the bottle mouth with the blade and turn it to cut the foil, then insert the corkscrew needle into the wine bottle from the middle of the cork, and protect the bottle mouth with a plastic protective cover; move it up and down to inject air into the bottle until the cork slides out of the bottle mouth (usually each bottle of wine can be opened 4-7 times); finally, use the small plastic slider on the protective cover to remove the cork from the air needle.
