Foods that easily cause flatulence

Bloating may be a symptom of stomach or intestinal diseases. Chewing with your mouth open, talking while eating, eating quickly, inhaling a lot of air at the same time, drinking soup while eating, and flushing the digestive enzymes in the stomach down the digestive tract can easily cause digestive problems and bloating. Indigestion and stomach problems can also be accompanied by bloating. Sometimes eating improper food can easily cause bloating. So what are the foods that can easily cause bloating? I will introduce them to you in detail below.

What to eat to cause bloating

Radish, potato, sweet potato, taro, pumpkin, chestnut, etc. These foods are rich in starch, sugar, and cellulose. In addition, the meat we eat will produce a large amount of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia after being fully fermented by intestinal bacteria. If they cannot be discharged for a while and accumulate in the intestines, they will cause gastrointestinal bloating.

2. Soy products are especially bloating-causing. There are several anti-nutritional factors in soy products (including tofu, soy milk, tofu pudding, etc.), two of which are related to the gastrointestinal tract. One is trypsin inhibitor, which is a substance that can inhibit the activity of proteases in the body. If it is consumed too much, it will affect the digestion of protein and have a stimulating effect on the gastrointestinal tract; the other is gastrointestinal flatulence factor, which can cause gastrointestinal flatulence, diarrhea, and indigestion.

3. Cruciferous vegetables cause bloating. For example, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and cabbage contain a complex sugar called raffinose, which is more difficult for the human body to absorb than other types of sugar. When it is absorbed with difficulty in the intestines, it produces gas and causes bloating.

4. Lactose intolerance can cause bloating. If you feel bloated or have diarrhea, or even worse, within an hour of drinking milk, these are typical symptoms of lactose intolerance. If you're experiencing bloating due to lactose intolerance, your best option isn't to give up milk, but to drink lactose-free milk or take tablets that help break down lactose. Are you lactose intolerant?

5. Eating too much salt can also cause bloating. Eating too much salt at one time will cause the body to retain water, which can cause bloating. Therefore, try to avoid high-salt foods when eating, such as packaged foods, fried foods, and especially instant noodles. The salt content in one serving is close to the daily requirement of the human body. Instead, focus on eating more fresh vegetables and whole grains.
