How are tendon bags formed

How are tendon bags formed

The distribution range of tendons in the body is very wide, and there are tendons in almost every area, but the tendons are very fragile and it is easy to cause some diseases and problems, which affect people's health and life. For example, many people will inadvertently find that some lumps will form near their tendons, which feel painful when touched. This is a tendon bag. Let’s take a look at how the tendon bag is formed?

Ganglion cysts are mostly caused by excessive fatigue of the joints, and often there is no obvious history of trauma. So avoid overstraining your joints. Some cysts can disappear on their own, but it takes a long time. A ganglion cyst is a cyst that occurs near a joint capsule or tendon sheath. It is commonly found on the back of the wrist, the palm side of the wrist joint, the back and palm side of the fingers, the dorsum of the foot, the side of the knee and the popliteal fossa, but is most common on the wrist. This disease is more common in young and middle-aged people, especially in women.

In traditional Chinese medicine, tendon ganglion cysts are called tendon masses or tendon tumors. They are believed to be caused by trauma to the fascia, the residence of evil spirits, stagnation of metabolism, and accumulation of fluids in the joints and meridians. It is usually caused by excessive movement of the affected joints, repeated weight lifting, prolonged standing, etc., which can cause strain on the meridians and tendons, leading to poor circulation of qi and fluid, and stagnation of tendons and veins.

A ganglion cyst is a hemispherical, cystic, elastic mass that occurs around a joint or tendon sheath and contains a jelly-like substance. The cause of the disease is still unclear. It often occurs on the dorsum of the wrist and foot, and may be related to chronic trauma.

It may be caused by injury, excessive strain (chronic, especially common in hands and fingers), osteoarthritis, some systemic immune diseases, or even infection. Some occupations that require long-term repetitive strain on joints, such as typists, cargo handlers, or industries that require long-term computer operation, can trigger or aggravate the disease. Common affected areas include the wrists, fingers, shoulders, etc. Women and diabetic patients are more likely to suffer from this disease. Patients may feel joint pain and morning stiffness: Usually the feeling of morning joint stiffness is most obvious after getting up, and the symptoms will not be significantly relieved with frequent activities. The affected joints are swollen or even snapping, and the joints have difficulty in movement.
