How to cut baby's nails

How to cut baby's nails

Many new mothers are troubled by how to trim their baby's nails. Every time they trim their babies' nails, the babies will cry and refuse to cooperate. Such movement can easily injure the skin on their fingers. Therefore, it is best for parents to wait until their babies fall asleep before gently trimming their nails. This way, they will become more cooperative and can prevent them from getting injured.

How to cut baby's nails

1. Dip a cotton pad in polish remover and apply it on the toenails for a few seconds. After the nail polish dissolves, wipe from the soft skin edge to the tip of the toenail. For parts that are difficult to remove, wrap the cotton pad around the orange wood stick and wipe it off with light remover.

2. Trim your toenails. The two sides are not trimmed and the center is trimmed into a square.

3. Press the fingernail file back and forth at a 90-degree angle to the toenails to trim them.

4. First, rub the surface of the toenails with a fine pumice stone, and then polish it with the fine side of a finger file. This can not only enhance the color of the nail polish. It can also make nail polish last longer and not fade.

2. Remove the soft skin at the base of toenails

1. Use an orange wood stick to dip the soft skin removing cream, apply it on the soft skin, and massage with your fingertips while applying.

2. Soak your feet in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes to fully soften the cuticle.

3. Wipe dry with a towel. Wrap a cotton pad around the top of the orangewood stick and gently press on the soft skin to keep the toenail in a square shape.

4. Wrap the gauze around the tip of your thumb or index finger, and gently massage the surface of the toenails to remove the old, soft, dead skin.

5. Use soft leather scissors to cut off the thorns.

6. Apply soft skin care oil.

Note: A. Do not forcefully push the soft leather. Deformed toenails require more patience and care. B. When massaging, keep your toenails in a square shape and the left and right sides facing you. C. After cutting off the excess soft skin. Be sure to apply maintenance oil or lotion to moisturize.

3. Treatment of cuticle

1. Use a foot file to remove yellowed cuticles. The foot file must be held straight, as holding it horizontally will cut the skin:

2. Use the rubbing board on the sole of your foot to rub your heels and the edges of your feet. Bend your feet to a 90-degree angle with the washboard so that they can be evenly rubbed and save effort.

3. For calluses in small areas (such as the joints of the little toes), you can use a coarse-surfaced finger file to remove them. For people with too thick cuticles, you can use a foot file specially designed for calluses to remove them.

4. Use a pumice stone to file the keratinized areas.

Use a soft-bristled nail brush to clean the dirt inside the toenails and the keratin attached to the skin.
