What are the symptoms of muscle tension?

Many people will inadvertently find that their muscles are often in a tense state in life. When they find this situation, many people will not care, but some people still worry that this is a disease, because the muscles are always in a tense state, which will make the tense parts feel very sore, but many people don’t know why this happens. So, what are the symptoms of muscle tension?

First, what are the symptoms of muscle tension? Excessive tension in the nervous system, negative emotional experiences caused by long-term psychological conflicts and mental trauma, irregular life, excessive fatigue and lack of adequate rest can all be causes of this disease. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, my country conducted a large number of investigations and studies on the causes of neurasthenia, and believed that excessive tension in the nervous system was one of the main causes of the disease. The survey data on neurasthenia among people of different occupations by Li Congpei et al. (1959) and Liu Xiehe et al. (1960) showed that the incidence rate was highest among those doing mental work. More than half of the patients reported excessive stress during work or study, mainly mental activities. Not only does the mental activity time last too long, but the work tasks are too heavy; studying or working is difficult. Especially those mental tasks that require particularly strict requirements and high concentration are more likely to cause excessive tension and fatigue.

Second, Pavlov believed that people with weak and intermediate types of higher nervous activity were prone to neurasthenia. This type of individual often appears to be withdrawn, timid, sensitive, suspicious, impatient, or easily nervous. Infection, poisoning, malnutrition, endocrine disorders, craniocerebral trauma and physical illness can also be the causes of this disease. 4. Negative emotional experience caused by long-term psychological conflicts and mental trauma is another common cause of this disease. Inability to adapt to study and work, family disputes, improper handling of marriage and love issues, and tense interpersonal relationships mostly cause contradictions and inner conflicts in the patients' minds and become the source of long-term pain. For example, the sudden death of a loved one, major family misfortune, setbacks in life, etc. can also cause negative emotional experiences such as sadness and pain, leading to neurasthenia.

What are the symptoms of muscle tension? Physiological qualities and personality traits Pavlov believed that people with weak and intermediate types of higher nervous activity, whose personality traits are withdrawn, timid, sensitive, suspicious, impatient, and easily nervous, are prone to this disease. Pavlov's school believes that the main pathophysiological basis of this disease is the weakening of the inhibitory process within the cerebral cortex. When the internal inhibition process weakens, the excitability of nerve cells increases relatively, and they can produce strong and rapid responses to external stimuli, thereby consuming a large amount of energy in nerve cells. Clinically, this type of patient often shows signs of being easily excitable and easily fatigued. On the other hand, the function of the cerebral cortex is weakened, and its function of regulating and controlling the subcortical autonomic nervous system is also weakened, resulting in various symptoms of autonomic hyperfunction.
