Are house spiders poisonous?

Spiders are also very scary insects, especially for women who are timid. They can't help but scream when they see a spider. There are many types of spiders in the world, and some of them are extremely poisonous. If a person is bitten and not treated in time, the toxins can spread to other areas and even threaten a person's life. But could the spiders we keep at home contain toxins?

Most spiders are non-venomous, so you don't have to worry about that. But the problem is that some people are allergic to spiders and spider silk. If their skin touches a little spider silk, it will become red, swollen, itchy and painful. You must be careful about this.

In addition, web-building spiders usually do not harass people and can coexist peacefully with humans (unless you dislike it and want to get rid of it). Spiders that do not weave webs, such as wolf spiders, actively prey on small insects and even small animals. They are usually ferocious and will bite people if they are cornered. You must be careful when dealing with such spiders.

Large spiders in the home should be common and will not cause any harm to the human body. Last but not least, spiders are beneficial insects that help you catch mosquitoes and moths, so everyone should treat them well.

First aid for poisonous spider bites

When a person is bitten by a spider, they usually cannot feel it. They may only feel a slight prick of pain or no feeling at all. About 2 hours later, the bitten area will become red and swollen, with a blue-purple protrusion in the middle, and you will begin to feel pain. After a while, the protrusion in the middle will begin to fester and collapse, and you may experience symptoms such as fever, chills, nausea, and vomiting within 24-48 hours after the bite. In severe cases, hemolysis, thrombocytopenia, sepsis and other diseases may occur.

If you are bitten by a spider, wash the wound immediately with soap and water and apply a cool compress to the wound. Adults can use aspirin or acetaminophen to relieve bite symptoms, but children must not use aspirin and can use acetaminophen instead. Then go to the hospital as soon as possible.
