What should I do if there is a big hole in my tooth that hurts

We are all familiar with tooth cavities. The reason for tooth cavities is that we do not pay attention to diet or dental hygiene in our daily life. It is most likely to occur in children, usually because they eat too much sweets or too much cold food. Once this disease occurs, it will cause toothache and soreness, which makes the patient very distressed. It is necessary to go to the hospital for treatment in time and take some anti-inflammatory drugs.

Tooth hole is our common name. In medicine, there is a term called caries. The hole inside the tooth is called a caries cavity.

What to do if there is a big hole in the tooth that hurts:

1. First of all, we need to understand why teeth have cavities?

Children love to eat candy and yogurt, and do not like to brush their teeth, which can easily lead to tooth decay;

If adults do not maintain a good habit of brushing their teeth, the food residues left on the teeth will begin to corrode the teeth, and over time, they will form tooth cavities.

The other type is like mine, where wisdom teeth affect the bite, causing food debris to get stuck in the teeth, which then corrode into cavities.

2. So, what are the symptoms of tooth cavities?

At the beginning, you will feel pain in your gums, and eating and drinking will be uncomfortable. In severe cases, even your face may swell.

What's more, it gets stuck in my teeth and makes me feel uncomfortable after eating.

At this time, you should look in the mirror and check if there is anything wrong with your teeth.

3. Go to the dentist and take X-rays.

It is recommended that you brush your teeth after breakfast in the morning and go to the hospital to register for the dental department.

The dentist will first check the condition of your teeth and usually ask you to take a dental X-ray. It is very quick, only about five minutes, and the film will come out immediately.

4. The doctor will recommend filling or extraction of the tooth based on the condition of the film.

Generally, it is recommended to remove wisdom teeth and fill the molars inside.

5. The process of filling a tooth.

After confirming that the tooth needs to be filled, the doctor will first burn your dental nerve. This process will require you to come to the hospital two or three times. After the nerves are burned, you can fill the tooth with a substance.

If your cavity is large, your dentist may also recommend that you wear a cap on the decayed tooth to prevent it from cracking.

6. In order to reduce the suffering of your teeth, it is recommended that you start protecting your teeth from now on.

Try to eat less sweets and maintain good brushing habits.
