The most common white substance on the hair is dandruff, but it is difficult to identify. Another possibility is head mites, which feed on scalp oil and will eat our hair roots, which is very harmful. Are the white things on the hair head mites? We need to have a comprehensive understanding of the situation of head mites first, and then make a judgment based on our own situation, so that we can draw a preliminary conclusion. Head mites are tiny, lipophilic animals that live on the scalp and can be clearly seen under a 1000x microscope. Head mites like to eat scalp oil and feed on hair roots. They also secrete lipolytic enzymes that erode the sebaceous glands, block the growth of hair follicles, cause hair follicles to atrophy, and cause hair loss or baldness, until the head becomes bald. Hair experts confirmed. The relationship between what Chinese medicine calls "hair tinea and hair loss" (i.e. seborrheic alopecia) and head mites has been confirmed by modern medicine. The metabolic products of head mites can cause allergic reactions, and the in and out activities of head mites can carry pathogenic microorganisms, causing infiltration of cells around hair follicles and proliferation of fibrous tissue. Head mites can also bring bacteria from the surface of the scalp deep into the hair follicles, causing inflammation, affecting the normal proliferation and fission of hair matrix cells, resulting in a shortened hair growth period, causing hair to fall out prematurely, and causing hair loss or premature baldness. In 2003, the Hair Research Center of Yonsei University Wonju Medical College in South Korea and the Nioxin Hair Care Research Center in the United States almost simultaneously discovered that the number of head mites in hair follicles has a significant impact on most types of hair loss. Experiments show that if 2-3 mites are placed in the hair follicles of an adult, in less than 10 days, the oil secretion of the hair follicles will increase by more than 5 times than usual. After a month, the number of mites increases, the sebaceous glands swell, and the hair follicles begin to shrink. After two months, the entire hair follicles begin to enter a dormant state, the hair falls out and no longer grows. If there is no head mite parasitism, normal hair loss is the regeneration period after the hair falls out. It is confirmed once again that head mites are one of the main causes of hair loss. A person usually has 80,000 to 100,000 hairs, which means 80,000 to 100,000 hair follicles. If there is a mite in every 10 hair follicles, it means there may be 8,000 mites on the head. If each mite nibbles off one hair every 3 months, tens of thousands of hairs will be lost in a year! These are staggering numbers. Therefore, if head mites are not resolved one day, the hair loss problem will become more and more serious. Treatment and precautions Head mites live on the scalp and can enter the roots of hair, so ordinary drugs to kill head mites are difficult to work. Therefore, killing head mites requires comprehensive consideration. We need a method that can deeply kill head mites while protecting hair follicles and promoting hair regeneration. Only in this way can we fundamentally treat hair loss and allow hair to regenerate. 1. Use shampoo once a day to remove head mites deep in the hair follicles, which is especially effective. Generally, the mites can be completely eliminated within 7-10 days. 2. Be sure to insist on removing head mites. If the head mites are not eliminated, hair loss will be difficult to cure. 3. Pay attention to hair hygiene, keep it clean, and change bed sheets and quilt covers frequently. |
