Many people don't know enough about the EB virus. In fact, this virus is a herpes virus. When the human body is infected, there are many symptoms, and the infected population is also very wide, including infants and young children. However, young children will not show obvious symptoms after being infected, such as discomfort in the throat, etc. This virus can be controlled by drugs, so can the symptoms of the EB virus heal itself? First, can the symptoms of EB virus heal on its own? EB virus can heal on its own. Infectious mononucleosis caused by primary EB infection is self-limiting. Symptoms will subside or disappear within a few weeks after onset, but the EB virus will exist in the body in a latent form. After the EB virus infects the human body, the infection is usually not obvious in children under 6 years old, or it manifests as mild symptoms of pharyngitis or upper respiratory tract inflammation. Most of them do not require specific treatment and will heal on their own. EB virus antibodies will appear in the body and maintain relatively long-lasting immunity, and recurrence is uncommon. Second, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a member of the genus Lymphotropic virus of the family Herpesviridae, and its genome is DNA. EB virus has the biological characteristic of specifically infecting human and certain primate B cells in vivo and in vitro. Humans are the host of EB virus infection, which is mainly transmitted through saliva. Asymptomatic infection mostly occurs in young children. More than 90% of children aged 3 to 5 have been infected with EB virus, and more than 90% of adults have antibodies to the virus. Epstein-Barr virus is the pathogen of infectious mononucleosis. In addition, Epstein-Barr virus is closely related to the occurrence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and childhood lymphoma, and is listed as one of the human tumor viruses that may cause cancer. The EB virus antibodies currently tested mainly target the virus's capsid antigen (CA), early antigen (EA) and nuclear antigen (EBNA). Can EB virus symptoms heal on their own? Yes, but not all EB virus symptoms will heal on their own. EB virus infection does not mean that it will heal itself no matter what the situation is, but it means that the vast majority of people can resist the deterioration of EB virus through their own immunity. Once immunocompromised children are infected with Epstein-Barr virus, the mortality rate can be as high as 60%. For a small number of patients with severe symptoms of infectious mononucleosis caused by Epstein-Barr virus, such as fever, neurological diseases, lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, and abnormal liver function, symptomatic supportive treatment is also needed to control the symptoms of complications. |
