There are small blisters on the soles of my feet and they itch

The most concave part of the sole of the foot, between the heel and the forefoot, is called the sole of the foot. There is an acupuncture point on the sole of the foot called Yongquan Point, which is connected to the kidney meridian, so the sole of the foot is particularly sensitive. There is a problem that the soles of the feet are covered with small blisters and they are very itchy, but it is uncomfortable. What's going on? It is estimated that this is tinea pedis. The patient should see a doctor for a confirmed diagnosis, and then receive correct and effective treatment under the doctor's guidance.

Tinea pedis and tinea manuum are very common skin ringworm diseases that occur on the feet and (or) hands. They are caused by pathogenic filamentous fungi, and tinea pedis is more common than tinea manuum. They can be clinically divided into several types, including keratinization type, vesicular type, papule-squamous type, intertriginous type and tinea corporis type, and they can also appear in combination. This disease has a tendency to be contagious, and its occurrence is closely related to close contact with the patient's hands and feet and supplies, such as slippers, bathtubs, and foot cloths. Tinea manuum is often transmitted from the patient's own tinea pedis.

Terbinafine, miconazole or ketoconazole cream can be applied to the affected area 2-3 times a day. For skin lesions and erosions, 2% gentian violet solution can be applied externally. However, since the fungal infection is deep in the skin, it is difficult to cure it with topical drugs. To completely cure tinea pedis and tinea manuum, you should go to the dermatology department of the hospital and use oral antifungal drugs such as itraconazole, fluconazole, etc. under the guidance of a doctor.

Keep your feet clean and dry, and treat sweaty feet. Change your shoes and socks frequently. People with tight gaps between toes can use some straw paper to absorb moisture and allow ventilation. Shoes should be well ventilated. Do not use other people's slippers, bath towels, rags, etc.

Several treatments for athlete's foot:

1. Erosive type: Soak with 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution or 0.1% revulol solution, then apply gentian violet or athlete's foot powder, twice a day, wait until it is dry, then apply athlete's foot spirit or tinea ointment, twice a day.

2. Blister type: Soak your feet in hot water every day and then apply clotrimazole anti-tinea lotion or compound salicylic acid tincture once a day. After the skin is dry, apply anti-foot pain medicine or anti-ringworm ointment.

3. Keratotic type: You can use compound benzoic acid cream externally or apply it alternately with compound salicylic acid alcohol, once in the morning and once in the evening. It is best to wrap the area with plastic film after applying the medicine so that the medicine can penetrate into the thick skin and facilitate peeling of the thick skin.

Athlete's foot is a very common fungal skin infection. After washing your feet every night, wipe the area with an iodine cotton ball. After three to five minutes, use 75% medical alcohol to de-iodine. Afterwards, wrap a dry cotton strip between the toes before sleeping to keep the area dry. Athlete's foot is prone to recurrence after seven to ten consecutive days. You should pay attention to wipe it frequently with iodine and alcohol, iron and wash socks frequently, and try to wear less hiking shoes and more cloth shoes.
