What causes prostate cancer?

In the past, people were still unfamiliar with prostate cancer, but now, prostate cancer has ranked among the top five in the proportion of malignant tumors in men. It is very common in clinical practice, and the data shows an increasing trend year by year. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the cause of prostate cancer. At present, the cause of prostate cancer is not very clear, mainly the following factors.

1. Genetics. A large proportion of prostate cancer patients have a family history of the disease. People whose blood relatives have prostate cancer are much more likely to develop prostate cancer than the average person. Therefore, men with a family history of prostate cancer should start regular checkups at the age of 45 to prevent it before it happens.

2. Age factor: The older a man is, the greater his chance of developing prostate cancer. Most prostate cancer patients are over 65 years old, with the peak age being between 70 and 75 years old. Only a few patients under 50 are screened out during physical examinations.

3. Excessive secretion of male hormones. If a man has excessive secretion of male hormones for a long time, the risk of prostate cancer will increase, which is also an important cause of prostate cancer.

4. Infection factors: Many prostate cancer patients suffer from prostate cancer caused by long-term bacterial or viral infection. Medically, it has been confirmed that HPV virus is closely related to cervical cancer in women. Similarly, HPV virus may also cause prostate cancer in men.

5. Diet: Long-term high-fat diet is also a high-risk factor for prostate cancer. Not only that, in most cases, a high-fat diet is not a healthy lifestyle.

Prostate cancer is a very dangerous disease. If it can be detected in the early stage, the prognosis is good. Early prostate cancer glands compress the urethra and cause dysuria, which is manifested as dripping after urination, incomplete urination, frequent urination, urgency, and increased nocturia. If you have the above symptoms, you should go to the hospital for examination in time. There is no definite prevention method for the genetic factors of the prostate. If there are relatives with prostate cancer in the family, you should do prostate cancer screening in advance and go to the hospital for regular physical examinations.
