For ordinary people, there are generally two situations when urinating: one is normal urine, and the other is urine that indicates disease. Most people's urine is clear and transparent, but some may have turbid urine. Turbid urine is usually a sign of illness. Behind turbid urine, there are more urinary system diseases, so we need to pay more attention to urination. So what is the reason for turbid urine? 1. Normal physiological phenomenon When the temperature rises, you sweat a lot, drink less water, urinate less, and eat too much meat or vegetables and fruits, your urine will become alkaline or acidic. At this time, more phosphate, carbonate or urate crystals will precipitate in the urine, making the urine turbid. This is normal and can be restored to normal by improving your lifestyle habits. 2. Cystitis glandularis It is mostly caused by long-term infection, stones and other chronic inflammatory stimulation. Cystitis glandularis is a rare chronic proliferative disease of the bladder. Its pathological mechanism is the dysregulation of mucous glandular hyperplasia in the transitional epithelial mucosa and submucosa of the bladder. Therefore, in daily life, we must actively treat acute infections, especially urinary tract infections. Drink more water to flush the bladder. If uric acid is too high, the urine should be alkalized appropriately. Exercise appropriately, pay attention to rest, eat less spicy food, and have a moderate sex life, etc. 3. Tumor Causes Cancer cells caused by tumors, such as kidney cancer and bladder cancer, fall into the urine, or colon cancer invades the bladder, causing feces to seep into the urine, causing turbid urine. 4. Urine is too alkaline If acid is added to this kind of urine, the white turbidity will disappear, which is the opposite of proteinuria. After meals or drinking large amounts of milk can cause an increase in phosphates in the urine. Other causes of turbid urine are severe urine infections. The rare chyluria is caused by blockage of the lymphatic vessels by parasitic filarial worms. 5. Prostatitis (specifically for men) When constipation or prostatitis occurs, a small amount of sticky milky white secretion will flow out of the urethra before and after defecation. Most of it is prostatic fluid, which drips frequently, is large in amount and turbid, and is accompanied by other corresponding symptoms. This may be chronic prostatitis. If the discharge is serious, it must be treated early. Long-term discharge of prostatic fluid will have a great impact on sexual function. 6. Urate precipitation When concentrated acidic urine is cooled, light red urate may precipitate, which can be dissolved when heated or with the addition of alkali. This situation is more common in cold weather. |
