Some diseases come very suddenly. Sometimes after a night's sleep, you will have uncomfortable symptoms early the next morning. For example, you may feel dizzy, have neck pain, nausea and vomiting, have a fever and a cold in the morning. These are all very sudden diseases. Many people wake up in the morning with dizziness and neck pain and think it is just caused by a stiff neck. Stiff neck is only one reason. There are other reasons that can also cause symptoms of dizziness and neck pain. Let's learn about them together~ As the weather gets colder, more and more people are having trouble getting out of bed. When they wake up, they often find themselves dizzy, with chest tightness, back pain, and stiff neck. In fact, this is related to our wrong sleeping posture. 1. Sleeping on your stomach: hurts your spine When sleeping on your stomach, your head will tilt to one side, which can easily compress the cervical spine and cause a stiff neck. 2. Sleeping with your head covered: Lack of oxygen Covering your head will put your mouth and nose in an environment with poor air circulation, less oxygen and more carbon dioxide. It is common to suffer from hypoxia when sleeping in such an environment. 3. Sleeping curled up: hurts your back Keeping the back muscles in a tense state for a long time may cause tension in the neck and shoulder muscles, and even cause soft tissue strain in the back and waist. Good sleeping position: lying flat + lying on your side The pressure on the lumbar intervertebral disc when lying on your side is three times that of lying flat, but this "force" is still much smaller than when sitting or standing. Therefore, whether lying flat or lying on your side, it is a good sleeping position that does not harm the spine. 4. A big part of the reasons for dizziness, drowsiness and neck discomfort are due to cervical spine diseases, such as protrusions. Compression of blood vessels will cause poor blood circulation, and then the blood supply to the brain is reduced, causing dizziness and drowsiness! 5. If the dizziness and discomfort are not caused by cervical spine diseases, then there are many possible reasons, and you may need to rule them out one by one! If it is a brain problem, you may need to do a head CT or EEG examination to rule out brain problems! 6. In order to quickly diagnose whether the dizziness, drowsiness and neck discomfort are caused by cervical spondylosis, we need to choose a regular tertiary hospital for diagnosis. The general diagnostic methods include some physical examinations, and they also need to be combined with X-ray or CT examinations. This is the best means of diagnosis! |
