What are the symptoms of gastritis

Gastritis is a general term, which is divided into different phenomena. For example, antral gastritis is a chronic inflammation, which usually occurs in the mucosal layer. But what are the symptoms of antral gastritis? How to detect the disease when it just occurs? A very important aspect is to fully understand your own body and get checked in time. The early symptoms of antral gastritis are mostly belching, vomiting, acid reflux, and even hemorrhagic anemia.

Antral gastritis refers to a chronic inflammation limited to the gastric antrum. The main lesions are mostly limited to the mucosal layer, but can also spread to the muscular layer or serosa layer. Edema, inflammatory cell infiltration and fibrous tissue hyperplasia appear in the affected area, causing local thickening or even narrowing; in some cases, there may be erosion of the mucosal surface and changes in intestinal gland epithelialization.

Antral gastritis is common in men over 30 years old, and is characterized by upper abdominal distension, dull pain or severe pain, which often occurs periodically and may be accompanied by belching, vomiting, acid reflux, poor appetite and weight loss. Chronic antral gastritis may also manifest as anorexia, persistent abdominal pain, and anemia due to hemorrhagic loss.

The lesions of antral gastritis are mostly limited to the muscularis mucosa, but can also spread to the muscularis and serosa. The gastric antral mucosa showed edema, congestion, inflammatory cell infiltration and fibrous tissue hyperplasia, among which the submucosal layer was most obvious.

There is a feeling of distension in the upper abdomen, dull or severe pain in the upper abdomen, which often occurs periodically and may be accompanied by belching, burning sensation in the upper abdomen, vomiting, weight loss, acid reflux and nausea. A few may have bleeding, and some may be asymptomatic.

The onset of antral gastritis is closely related to mental factors. Emotional fluctuations, anger, mental stress or fear of cancer can aggravate the symptoms. Antral gastritis is more common in men over 30 years old. This is one of its characteristics.

Warm reminder: The treatment of antral gastritis should generally adopt diet control, sedation, acid resistance, antispasmodics, analgesia and other measures, mainly symptomatic treatment.
