Will hair grow back after it falls out?

The pace of modern life is getting faster and faster, and the pressure people are under every day is getting heavier. Many people are now facing the problem of hair loss. In addition to congenital genetics and malnutrition, the most important causes of hair loss are excessive mental stress and bad living habits. Many people lose a lot of hair every day, and they become worried about their hair, worrying that all their hair will fall out. So will the hair grow back if it falls out?

Hair is part of human tissue and is an organism composed of cells. Hair cells divide and multiply within the hair follicles, and new hair is pushed from the hair follicles to the surface of the scalp skin. Losing less than 30 hairs a day is a sign of normal metabolism. Each hair follicle will grow new hair within a year.

Since a normal person's head has about 100,000 to 120,000 hairs, and the metabolic cycle of each hair is different, we will always have hair falling out, and at the same time a large amount of hair will grow. Therefore, under normal circumstances, new hair will still grow after the hair falls out. This is also normal metabolism, so there is no need to worry.

However, there are also abnormal situations in which hair loss occurs, that is, more than 100 hairs are lost every day, which is caused by various factors such as stress, diet, improper maintenance, and so on. At this time, the possibility of hair falling out and growing back is smaller.

Hair loss prevention advice

1. Get enough sleep

Adequate sleep can promote normal metabolism of skin and hair. The metabolic period is mainly at night, especially between 10 pm and 2 am. Sufficient sleep during this period can enable normal metabolism of hair. On the contrary, if the metabolism and nutrition of hair are out of balance, hair loss will occur.

Recommendation: Try to sleep at least 6 hours a day and develop the habit of regular sleep. Pay attention to dietary nutrition, eat foods rich in protein and trace elements, eat more vegetables and fruits, and eat less greasy and high-sugar foods.

2. Avoid excessive damage

Hair dyeing, perming and blow-drying can cause certain damage to the hair; hair dye and perming solution also have a great impact on the hair. If used too many times, the hair will lose its luster and elasticity, and even turn yellow and dry; ultraviolet rays in sunlight can damage the hair, making it dry and yellow; the warm and humid wind and cold air from the air conditioner can both cause hair loss and gray hair. Air that is too dry or too humid is not good for protecting the hair.
