Stomach bloating and shoulder pain

Stomach bloating and shoulder pain

Stomach bloating is often accompanied by stomach pain, so when patients experience stomach bloating, pain and bloating problems, they must be resolved in a timely manner. Severe stomach bloating problems can also spread to the entire abdominal cavity, and some patients with stomach bloating even find some shoulder pain. Because stomach bloating can be relieved by taking drugs that help promote digestion, but what should be done about shoulder pain caused by stomach bloating?

Patients often complain of bloating, distension and fullness in the upper abdomen, and difficulty in digestion. They have used many drugs to aid digestion, such as Metoclopramide and Priligy. Even for acid reflux and heartburn, I used cimetidine and ranitidine. Or the test result is positive for Helicobacter pylori, and some anti-Helicobacter pylori drugs are used, but the effect is not ideal. The above symptoms still exist repeatedly.

Some patients often suffer from left shoulder pain and fear of cold, which is more obvious after catching a cold. They often receive acupuncture for periarthritis of the shoulder and take medicine to relieve the pain, but the pain still recurs. In addition to the above situations, patients sometimes like to take long breaths, which means they are short of breath and have chest tightness. There may even be symptoms of palpitations and sweating. In fact, at this time, we should not only consider digestion problems or periarthritis of the shoulder, but also heart problems.

For many heart disease patients, angina pectoris may radiate to the left shoulder and back, while the symptoms at the heart location are not obvious. This is because the heart's spinal neurons and the left shoulder and back's spinal neurons are shared, that is, the neurons are shared, which leads to nerve conduction. This situation can occur. The patient may have more obvious symptoms on the left shoulder and back, especially after catching a cold. This can easily make people suspect that it is arthritis caused by meridian blockage and blood circulation after catching a cold, that is, periarthritis of the shoulder. In fact, the most important symptoms of the heart are palpitations, shortness of breath, and chest tightness after fatigue, which are not common symptoms of periarthritis of the shoulder. These heart symptoms are also caused by cold stagnation in the meridians and poor blood circulation after catching a cold. They may also cause radiating pain in the left shoulder and back.

As for the upper abdominal distension and indigestion, it is one of the typical symptoms of insufficient blood supply to the heart. It is a common symptom of many heart diseases. In addition to chest tightness, shortness of breath, and palpitations caused by insufficient blood supply to the heart, patients often also have congestion and edema of the esophageal, gastric, and splenic veins. At this time, abdominal distension, indigestion, and even acid reflux may occur. But these are all caused by insufficient blood supply to the heart or poor venous return.

The reason for distinguishing these is to distinguish the main contradictions, and then the focus of treatment will be completely different. If it is a heart symptom, the main focus needs to be on improving blood supply to the heart, improving venous return, and keeping blood flow unobstructed. For example, if the heart yang is deficient and heart blood is stagnant, it is necessary to warm the heart yang, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and circulate blood vessels smoothly. As the heart yang is warmed and blood flows smoothly, other symptoms will be relieved. The so-called "curing without treating" includes this meaning.
