Feeling dizzy after quitting smoking

Feeling dizzy after quitting smoking

Smoking is an indispensable part of many people's day, but almost everyone knows that smoking is harmful to health. This leads many people to choose to quit smoking for the sake of their health and their families. Some people who quit smoking will find that they sometimes feel dizzy. Many times this is caused by neurasthenia because they have not yet gotten rid of the habit of smoking. So what should we do when we feel dizzy after quitting smoking?

1. Neurasthenia is one of the diagnoses of neurosis in China. It is caused by long-term tension and pressure, which leads to mental excitability and mental fatigue, often accompanied by emotional distress, irritability, sleep disorders, muscle tension pain, etc. These symptoms cannot be attributed to brain, physical diseases and other mental illnesses. Symptoms vary in severity and the fluctuations are related to psychosocial factors. The course of the disease is often prolonged.

In recent centuries, the concept of neurasthenia has undergone a series of changes. With the change in doctors' understanding of neurasthenia and the identification of various special syndromes and subtypes, this diagnosis is no longer made in the United States and Western Europe. On-site tests by the CCMD-3 working group have shown that the diagnosis of neurasthenia in our country has also decreased significantly.

2.

Currently, most scholars believe that mental factors are the main cause of neurasthenia. Any factors that can cause persistent tension and long-term inner conflicts, which make the nervous activity process intensely and persistently tense and exceed the tolerance limit of the nervous system tension, can cause the disease. Being overly tired and not getting rest means that the excitation process is over-tension; being dissatisfied with the current situation means that the inhibition process is over-tension; frequently changing the living environment without adapting will cause the central nervous system to be over-tension and fatigued. The nerve cells in the cerebral cortex have a very high tolerance. Although fatigue occurs after intense mental work, they can recover after a short rest or sleep. However, long-term intense neural activity, once it exceeds the tolerance limit, may cause neurasthenia.
