How much sleep do middle school students get?

Children who are in middle school are in the stage of physical development. Today's parents pay special attention to their children's academic performance, so they will increase the amount of learning for their children. In fact, this approach is wrong. We must consider the needs of children's growth in a few days, so we must let children exercise more, especially ensure that children have enough sleep, which can promote the development of children's body and brain. So, usually, how long do middle school students sleep every day?

How much sleep do middle school students get?

The reasonable sleep time for middle school students is at least 7 to 8 hours a day.

Reasons for proper sleep for middle school students

1. For many students, they have to go to bed between 10 and 11 o'clock. It is indeed a bit difficult for children who have a lot of homework, but parents still try their best to let their children go to bed between 10 and 11 o'clock. Why? On the one hand, the energy consumed by high-intensity learning among middle school students requires a relatively long sleep period to recover. On the other hand, the human body’s internal organs need to recover at night.

2. The repair of the human body's internal organs generally begins after 11 o'clock at night. If you do not fall asleep at this time, the repair effect will be greatly reduced. This is why some people go to bed in the early morning and still feel tired when they wake up even after sleeping for 8 hours. The human intestines will only speed up their peristalsis when we sleep. If we don’t sleep at night, it will be very bad for our intestines.

3. Many middle school students can maintain their body shape during the seven years of middle school, but once they enter college, they quickly become obese within one year, which is related to not sleeping all night. The human liver is also repaired during sleep. Many middle school students have problems such as yellow complexion, fatigue, and lack of energy, which are related to liver damage caused by long-term late sleep.

Here is a suggestion for students to refer to:

1. Morning time arrangement.

Try not to get up too early, 6 o'clock is enough. Doing low-intensity exercise for more than ten minutes in the morning will make you feel particularly energetic throughout the day; two subjects can be arranged for morning reading, with an emphasis on Chinese and English, and other subjects can also be arranged for reading aloud and recitation appropriately; try not to spend too much time on one subject, otherwise it will be detrimental to long-term memory.

Many people get up after five o'clock, which makes them feel tired all day, so getting up too early is not recommended.

2. It is recommended that students take a nap at noon.

The recommended nap time is 40 to 50 minutes, not too long. This is the most important but most easily overlooked part of daily study. A short nap can make you feel better immediately.

3. Arrangement of study time in the evening.

When arranging your study at night, you should pay attention to separating thinking subjects (mathematics, physics, and chemistry) from memorization subjects (Chinese, English, history, geography, and biology). Before going to bed, you should only read some extracurricular content to relax your brain and help you fall asleep easily.

4. How to judge whether you are getting enough sleep?

If you often doze off in class and have low learning efficiency, it means there are some problems with your study arrangements. If this happens, be sure to adjust your study and rest time in time. Most people absorb 70% of knowledge in class and only 30% in their spare time. Therefore, you should be energetic in class so that you can absorb the content taught by the teacher to the maximum extent.
