Precautions for laser mole removal

Precautions for laser mole removal

The laser mole removal method is relatively simple. We need to choose a regular large hospital for the operation, and then pay attention to the post-operative care methods. In particular, the skin cannot be exposed to water after the laser mole removal operation, and makeup and alcohol cannot be applied. The scabbed part should also be protected from the sun. The mole cannot be removed with hands. The following steps must be strictly followed to take care of each precaution.

What should I pay attention to after laser mole removal?

1. Do not let the wound get wet for 7 to 10 days after laser mole removal.

2. Do not wear makeup, drink alcohol, or use facial masks during laser mole removal treatment, and do not rub dilated capillaries. Be sure to use sunscreen, otherwise it will cause temporary pigmentation.

3. After laser mole removal, the scab on the wound starts to fall off from the 5th day. After the scab falls off, the fresh tissue is relatively delicate and cannot withstand sunlight, so you must pay attention to sun protection. It is recommended to wear sunscreen when going out, especially in summer.

4. After laser mole removal, pigmentation fading is a slow biological process. Those who love beauty should return to the hospital for a follow-up examination one and a half months after the operation.

5. Be careful to avoid excessive sweating after laser mole removal. You should also pay attention to sun protection. The whiter your skin, the more you should pay attention to sun protection to ensure the effectiveness of mole removal.

6. In the first 2 or 3 days, you can cover the wound with a hemostatic patch to avoid contamination, but you must change the hemostatic patch frequently and allow the wound to breathe in time.

7. You can wash your face after 2 days, but dry it immediately with a dry and soft towel after washing; be careful not to mix towels to avoid infection.

8. Do not come into contact with water and try not to wash your face during the two days before laser surgery.

9. Do not exfoliate within one week after professional surgical treatment.

10. It is necessary to increase the use of moisturizing products and apply cold compress for half an hour after treatment. No special care is required, but it should be pointed out that it is necessary to avoid sun exposure and ultraviolet radiation after treatment; do not use irritating skin care products or cosmetics within 24 hours, and it is recommended to use clean water to cleanse the face.

11. People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have immune diseases, or have pacemakers should not be treated.

Postoperative care after laser mole removal:

1. The scab will fall off in 7-14 days and the wound will heal. Some patients may experience normal temporary pigmentation after surgery, which will gradually be absorbed. Oral vitamin C can reduce pigment reflux.

2. Laser mole removal treatment may cause slight pain, as well as temporary redness and swelling, which will disappear on their own.

3. Before the scab falls off, the treated area should not be exposed to water, makeup, or rubbing, and should be avoided from spicy food, tobacco, and alcohol. Do not eat dark-colored foods such as coffee, Pepsi, etc. in the near future. Let the scab fall off on its own and do not peel it off forcefully. Do not participate in strenuous exercise to avoid infection after sweating.

4. During the healing period, you can apply antibacterial ointment or take oral anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent secondary infection. Avoid direct exposure to ultraviolet rays from the sun. Otherwise, transient pigmentation may occur and scarring may occur after infection.

5. After treatment of pigmented skin diseases, you must pay attention to sun protection. Pigmentation reduction is a slow biological process. Laser mole removal generally takes 1-3 months. During this period, you must continue to protect yourself from the sun. To obtain the best results, if repeated treatment is required, the interval should be at least 3 months.
