Chest pain after colonoscopy

Chest pain after colonoscopy

The stomach and intestines are the human digestive system and are very important to the human body. They help the body digest food and replenish nutrition. If a person always has stomach pain, the best way is to go to the hospital for a colonoscopy. This way you can know very clearly what kind of problem is with the stomach and intestines, and then follow the doctor's advice for treatment. What should you do if you have severe chest pain after a colonoscopy?

A colonoscope is a thin, flexible medical instrument about 1 cm in diameter. It is passed through the anus into the rectum and into the large intestine, allowing doctors to observe the internal conditions of the colon and large intestine. A colonoscopy is a diagnostic test used by doctors to examine the large intestine and the interior of the colon.

The original colonoscope was mostly used for quarantine and was simpler than the modern colonoscope. Modern colonoscopes are often equipped with cameras and are longer in size, so they can examine lesions at a deeper level.

Things to note after colonoscopy:

1. Rest in bed for 3-5 days and minimize activity;

2. Fasting is required for 24 hours after surgery, followed by a gradual transition to semi-liquid food, easily digestible food, and then to normal food; gas-producing foods such as soy milk and soy milk should be avoided;

3. Observe the patient's abdominal signs and stool conditions. If obvious abdominal pain, blood pressure changes, cold sweat, bloody or black stools occur, there may be postoperative bleeding, which requires hemostasis. Severe abdominal pain may cause peritonitis or perforation, and you should seek medical attention promptly.
