What virus causes hypertrophic gastritis

We often develop gastrointestinal diseases due to eating unclean food. Unclean food contains bacteria and viruses. Such gastrointestinal diseases are very difficult to treat. Different viruses can cause gastritis of different natures. After getting gastritis, you need to pay special attention to your diet. You cannot eat too cold or spicy food. Some people with gastritis cannot eat too sour food. So what virus can cause hypertrophic gastritis?

Hypertrophic gastritis is actually caused by excessive proliferation of gastric mucosa, which leads to significant thickening of the stomach wall. If you want to find out whether you have this disease, you can have a gastroscopy to confirm the diagnosis.

Chronic gastritis lacks specific symptoms, and the severity of the symptoms is often inconsistent with the degree of mucosal lesions. Most patients often have no symptoms. If they do occur, they are mostly symptoms of indigestion, such as fullness after meals and belching.

A few may experience loss of appetite and nausea. Bile reflux gastritis often presents with obvious and persistent upper abdominal discomfort or pain, especially after meals, and may be accompanied by nausea and bilious vomiting. It often occurs after subtotal gastrectomy and gastrojejunostomy and in patients with relaxation of the pyloric sphincter. Patients with atrophic gastritis sometimes present with anemia, weight loss, glossitis and diarrhea, but cancer is rare. Chronic gastritis may be complicated by acute gastric mucosal lesions and cause massive bleeding.

1. Gastroscopy has the following main features: ① The mucosal folds are thick, deep, and wide, and are gyratory; ② Transverse fissures can be seen on the mucosal folds, with many wart-like nodules; ③ The tops of the mucosal folds are often accompanied by erosion.

2. Microscopic observation: The glands are enlarged and proliferated, the gland ducts are elongated, and sometimes the proliferative glands can penetrate the muscularis mucosa. The number of mucus-secreting cells on the mucosal surface increases, and secretion increases. There was no significant infiltration of inflammatory cells in the lamina propria. Patients often have low gastric acid and hypoproteinemia caused by the loss of large amounts of protein-containing gastric juice.
