What is the production process of fake jade?

There are a lot of jade jewelry on the market now, and the prices of these jewelry are generally quite expensive. We need to remind everyone that when buying jade jewelry, you must be more careful. Fake jade is rampant in the market now, and you can't tell the difference with the naked eye. If you spend a lot of money to buy fake jade, the loss will be relatively large. The following will reveal the production process of fake jade.

The production process of fake jade:

Artificial agate and jade stair columns and handrails are mainly made of the following raw materials in proportion by weight: 100 parts of main material resin; 80 parts of filler (agate powder or jade powder, light alumina); 2-4 parts of curing agent; 0.5-3 parts of accelerator; 1-3 parts of flame retardant; 1-3 parts of cross-linking agent; 1-2.5 parts of defoaming agent; 1-2 parts of UV protection color paste. The specific production method is as follows: first, prepare the gel coat resin in a small reactor and brush the evenly stirred gel coat resin onto a mold coated with a release agent with a brush; then prepare the thermosetting resin in a large reactor; after the gel coat resin is cured, seal the mold, leaving a pouring port and vent for pouring the thermosetting resin, and pour the thermosetting resin into the mold; then, heat, keep warm, mature, demold, and then polish to obtain the finished product.

These raw materials are flint, which can be found everywhere in the mountains near Fengyingzi, Chengde. It is also the best raw material for making fake jade. Its main component is silicon. Flint, commonly known as "flint", is a relatively common siliceous rock. It is dense, hard, mostly gray and black, and has a shell-like fracture after being broken. According to its existence state, it is divided into two types:

Layered flint: It is mostly coexisting with phosphorus and manganese-containing clay layers, exists in layers, the thickness of a single layer is not large, but the total thickness can reach several hundred meters, and it can be divided into massive and oolitic forms. Tuberculous flint: mostly found in limestone, with nodules in spherical, egg-shaped, rod-shaped, disc-shaped, gourd-shaped, irregular shapes, etc., generally only 5-15 cm, and the largest can reach 1-2 meters. Flint was first favored by primitive people in the Stone Age because it is hard and produces sharp fractures when broken. Most stone tools were made by striking flint.

Such a large flint can be used as raw material for fake jade. First, use a general lathe to turn it into a ring.

These rings are divided into different colors and processed uniformly.

Use industrial strong sulfuric acid to prepare a certain proportion of iron oxide (red), copper oxide (green), and hydrogen peroxide (white) additives.

When doing artificial coloring, be sure to pay attention to the natural tones; the more irregular, the more realistic.

The colored flint has already taken a general shape, and is then put into a high-pressure vacuum pressure cooker for high-temperature coloring.

After several days of pressure and color injection, light colors begin to appear on the outside of the flint, simulating the formation process under high temperature and pressure in a natural environment.

The flint under high temperature and high pressure has already taken on a bit of water color.

This is a semi-finished jade bracelet. After being carefully polished by a grinding machine, a batch of dazzling artificial jade can be wholesaled and put on the market. Even in the laboratory, it is difficult to use chemical molecules to distinguish the authenticity. We can only rely on experience and let our eyes identify it.
