Cervical kyphosis is a common cervical disease. The cervical spine itself has a reasonable curvature during its growth, but if the curvature is reversed, it is called cervical kyphosis. This has a great impact on the patient's cervical growth and requires timely correction measures or surgery. If you are going to treat the cervical kyphosis, it still depends on the patient's condition. If the condition is relatively mild, you can use traction to correct it first and continue for a period of time. If it is more severe, surgery may be needed to correct it. What to do if the cervical spine has reverse curvature? 1. Usually sitting traction is used, but lying traction can be used when the condition is serious or sitting traction is not possible. The traction effect is mainly determined by factors such as traction angle, time and weight. (1) Angle: If the main effect is on the lower cervical segment, the traction angle should be slightly forward, between 15-30°. If the main effect is on the upper cervical segment or atlantoaxial joint, the forward angle should be slightly forward. The tilt angle should be smaller or vertical traction should be applied, and attention should be paid to adjusting the angle in combination with the patient's comfort. (2) Weight: The weight of intermittent traction can be determined by 10%-20% of the patient's body weight, and the weight should be appropriately reduced for continuous traction. It is better to start with a lighter weight and then gradually increase it. (3) Time: The traction time is preferably 20 minutes of continuous traction and 20-30 minutes of intermittent traction, once a day, and a course of treatment is 10-15 days. (4) Method: Most of them use continuous traction, but intermittent traction or a combination of the two can also be used. 2. Drug treatment: mainly anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs (Imbide, one pill, twice a day, chlorzoxazone 2 tablets, three times a day, soda tablets 4 tablets, three times a day) and Chinese medicine for relaxing muscles and promoting blood circulation (Shujin Huoxue tablets). The above medicines can be taken at the same time. The side effect is irritation to the stomach. Friends with stomach problems and friends with neurasthenia can change to: Jiannao Bu Shen Wan, Zhuangyao Jianshen Wan, Xiaohuo Luo Dan. 3. External treatment with Chinese medicine: It is one of the important methods of TCM to treat cervical spondylosis. It is a treatment method that applies Chinese medicine to the affected part of cervical spondylosis. The plaster treatment for cervical spondylosis that we often talk about is one of the external treatment methods with Chinese medicine. The external treatment method for straightening the cervical curvature is simple and convenient to use. The correct choice of traditional plasters such as neck patches can effectively relieve and treat cervical diseases. 4. Massage: It is the most common method to relieve the symptoms of cervical spondylosis. Massage treatment for cervical spondylosis has the effects of relaxing muscles and tendons, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, reducing swelling and relieving pain, lubricating joints, and correcting dislocations. |
