What to do if white clothes have mildew spots

What to do if white clothes have mildew spots

We all know that in life many people will put some mothballs in the closet, because mothballs can not only remove the musty smell in the closet, but also can evaporate some moisture in the air to prevent clothes from getting moldy. For clothes that we don’t wear often, we should also take them out to dry in the sun frequently, which can effectively prevent clothes from getting moldy. So what should we do if there are mold spots on white clothes?

1. How to wash off mildew spots on linen fabrics: clean with calcium chloride solution. Use a 50% alcohol solution and scrub repeatedly several times to quickly remove the mildew stains.

2. How to wash mildew spots on wool fabrics: Use mustard solution or borax solution (add two tablespoons of mustard or two tablespoons of borax to a bucket of water) to wash.

3. How to wash off mildew spots on chemical fiber clothes: Use a brush dipped in some strong soapy water to scrub a few times, then rinse with clean water, and the mildew spots can be removed.

4. How to wash off mildew spots on cotton clothes: You can use a few mung bean sprouts, rub the mildew spots repeatedly, then rinse with clean water, and the mildew spots will be removed.

5. How to wash off mildew spots on cotton and linen clothes: original colored ones can be exposed to the sun, and colored ones should be placed in a ventilated place to dry. After the clothes are dry, use a brush to brush off the mildew spots. If woolen clothing is moldy, do not expose it to the sun directly. Cover the clothes with white cloth and brush off the mold stains after the clothes are dry. Alternatively, it can be cleaned with calcium chloride solution.
