Tips for not washing your hair during confinement

Confinement is a traditional way for women to recuperate after giving birth. There are many things to pay attention to during the confinement period, especially keeping warm to avoid harm from wind and cold. At the same time, using food to recuperate the body is also a very good choice. Some tonic ingredients are suitable for pregnant women. Many doctors recommend that mothers should avoid washing their hair and taking a bath during the confinement period, but for girls who love cleanliness, this is often a very painful thing. In fact, using some tips can effectively solve the problem of not being able to wash your hair during confinement.

1. Tips for not washing your hair during confinement

First, warm a small amount of alcohol, dip 4 cotton swabs (depending on your preference) in the warm alcohol, and wipe your scalp, just like combing from front to back. Those who are patient will always get it done. You can apply it several times on the itchy areas. After getting up early every day, I use this method to wipe my hair to ensure that it is dry and free of oil. More importantly, no dandruff will occur during the entire confinement period.

2. Harm of being exposed to wind after washing your hair during confinement

It is strictly forbidden to wash your hair during the confinement period, and you are not allowed to use air, no matter hot or cold. Washing your hair will seriously affect the elimination of postpartum lochia. As long as the scalp is exposed to cold, the dirty blood in the uterus will immediately coagulate into blood clots and will not be easy to discharge. Even if you blow it dry immediately, it is not allowed. Moreover, using a hair dryer to blow your hair can easily cause head wind and headache. If the waste blood in the uterus is not cleared out, it is likely to cause hormonal imbalance and endocrine disharmony, which will lead to many complications.

3. Precautions for washing your hair during the confinement period

1. When washing your hair during confinement, you can use your fingertips to massage your scalp. After washing, blow dry your hair immediately with a hair dryer to avoid being blown by cold air.

2. The water temperature for washing your hair during confinement should be appropriate, not too cold. It is best to keep it at around 40-45℃. The temperature difference between inside and outside the bathroom should not be too large to avoid catching a cold.

3. Generally speaking, hair is oilier after childbirth and is more prone to hair loss. Do not use overly irritating shampoos when washing your hair during the confinement period.

4. Dry your hair immediately after washing it and wrap it with a dry towel to prevent the wet hair from taking away a large amount of heat when it evaporates, causing the blood vessels in the scalp to suddenly contract after being stimulated by cold, causing headaches.

5. It is best to use a wooden comb to comb your hair to avoid static electricity that may irritate the scalp.
