Will the right aortic arch heal itself?

Right aortic arch is a relatively serious disease and requires timely diagnosis and treatment by thoracic surgery. Avoid excessive fatigue in daily life. Fatigue may increase the burden on the heart, thereby increasing the heart load and having a certain stimulating effect on the heart, which may cause the right aortic arch to become more serious and even threaten our life and health. So, will the right aortic arch heal on its own?

First, what is the aortic arch and its branches?

The aortic arch is located behind the lower half of the manubrium of the sternum. It starts from the upper end of the ascending aorta behind the second sternocostal joint on the right side, bends from the right front to the left rear, and moves to the left side of the lower edge of the fourth thoracic vertebra and into the thoracic aorta. The upper edge of the arch can reach the middle of the manubrium or slightly above it, and the lower edge is level with the sternal angle. The upper edge of the aortic arch gives off three major branches, namely the brachiocephalic trunk, the left common carotid artery and the left subclavian artery.

The left brachiocephalic vein is in front of the three major branches of the aorta. Below the aortic arch are the pulmonary artery, the left main bronchus, the arterial ligament and the left recurrent laryngeal nerve on its left side and the right side of the ligament.

Second, aortic arch disease

When the two segments of the aortic arch are completely separated anatomically. When distant aortic arches are connected only by fibrous cords, it should be considered as an interrupted aortic arch. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, surgical treatment is required. The preferred method for isolated aortic arch interruption is one-stage correction with deep hypothermia and selective cerebral perfusion.

Third, adjacent

To the left front of the aortic arch are the left mediastinal pleura, lungs, left phrenic nerve, pericardial phrenic vessels, vagus nerve and its cardiac branches. The left phrenic nerve and vagus nerve descend between the aortic arch and the mediastinal pleura. There are cardiac branches from the left vagus nerve and the left cervical sympathetic trunk between the two nerves, forming a superficial cardiac plexus downward; behind them are the trachea, esophagus, left recurrent laryngeal nerve, thoracic duct and deep cardiac plexus. From right to left on the upper edge of the aortic arch are the brachiocephalic trunk, left common carotid artery and left subclavian artery. In front of the upper part of the arch and the roots of its three major branches are the left brachiocephalic vein and thymus, and below are the pulmonary artery, arteriosclerotic ligament, left recurrent laryngeal nerve, left main bronchus and superficial cardiac plexus.
