Treatment of impotence_How to treat impotence

Impotence is a disease of male sexual dysfunction. When a man suffers from this disease, it has a great impact on his daily life. He cannot perform normal sexual activities and loses the ability to pass on his family line. Therefore, when facing the situation of impotence, people need to pay special attention to it and take some measures to treat it in time. The following is a detailed introduction on how to treat impotence.

Impotence is a special disease and a local manifestation of a systemic disease. Only by giving specific treatment based on the cause of impotence can impotence be better treated. Patients should actively seek treatment and not be afraid to see a doctor.

We say that impotence is a disease, a special disease, a local manifestation of a systemic disease, and an early signal of systemic aging. Clinically, we can classify impotence into organic ones, for example, those caused by vascular and nerve pathology due to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, hyperlipidemia, etc. This is called organic impotence. There is also another type that has none of these, which is mental or functional impotence due to tension and fear. These are divided into two categories.

We currently have three lines of treatment. What are the three lines? The first line, the second line, and the third line. The first line is mainly drug treatment. This is the first-line drug treatment that 99% of us take. What are the drugs? The first choice is PDE5 inhibitors, which are drugs like Viagra. There are currently three commonly used types of this type of drug, one is Viagra, one is Cialis, and one is Levitra. These three drugs all expand the corpus cavernosum of the penis. After expanding the corpus cavernosum of the penis, it can keep it in a better erection. This is the first choice, the first-line medication. In addition to this, if the patient's androgen level decreases, for example, if the androgen level is low, then simply using PDE5 or drugs such as Viagra will not be effective. At this time, we may need to use some androgens, which will be more effective.

If medication is not effective and injections are inconvenient, then our third line of treatment is surgery. Currently, the surgery involves making a frame, which is a support for the penis. It is placed in the corpus cavernosum of the penis and then there is a water bag inside. When an erection is needed, water is flushed into it and it will become erect. When the penis needs to be softened, the water is released and it will become softened. This is what we call a penile prosthesis, also called a penile support. This is the current treatment method we use for impotence.
