What is peripheral lung cancer? Learn about peripheral lung cancer from these symptoms

Peripheral lung cancer occurs in the bronchial segment and below. In the early stage, the diameter of peripheral lung cancer is less than 2cm. The tumor is nodular, spherical, shrapnel-like, ground-glass, with burrs around the tumor. One or two transparent bubbles can be seen in the nodule. Pleural indentation is common. Dynamic examination can gradually increase. In the later stage, it manifests as segmental obstructive pneumonia, pleural effusion, etc. Therefore, peripheral lung cancer is complicated, and patients must understand peripheral lung cancer clearly.

Peripheral lung cancer is the opposite of central lung cancer. In medicine, lung cancer can be divided into central lung cancer and peripheral lung cancer according to the different growth sites. Central lung cancer refers to tumor growth located in the segmental bronchus and above the segmental bronchus, while peripheral lung cancer refers to tumor growth below the bronchus. At this time, patients must have a detailed understanding of peripheral lung cancer.

Peripheral lung cancer refers to lung cancer below the third-order bronchus and above the capillary bronchus. In the early stage, the lesions are small and will not affect breathing and blood vessel division. There are no symptoms of chest tightness or hemoptysis. Therefore, the symptoms of peripheral lung cancer in the early stage are not obvious and are easily ignored. It is often discovered clinically through physical examinations and lung CT scans, especially when there is obvious cough, chest tightness, and hemoptysis, indicating that the disease has entered the late stage of lung cancer.

Peripheral lung cancer refers to the part below the segmental bronchus, including small bronchi, bronchioles, terminal bronchioles, alveolar ducts, alveolar sacs and alveoli. The imaging data is shown as a circular or quasi-circular high-density image with characteristic changes such as lobulation, notches, burrs, irregular inner wall, and liquid-gas plane.

The early symptoms of peripheral lung cancer include cough and sputum. The cough is an irritating dry cough that lasts for a long time and cannot be cured. Due to the growth of the tumor and the obstruction of the trachea, the patient's cough becomes an obstructive cough, and there will be a small amount of mucus and chest pain. Cancer invades the pleura, ribs and chest wall, causing pain to the patient. When it invades the pleura, it causes pleural effusion, when it invades the ribs, it causes bone damage, and when it invades the intercostal nerves, it causes pain in the nerve distribution area.

The early symptoms of peripheral lung cancer generally include liver pain. The main symptom of most patients with advanced liver cancer is liver pain, which usually occurs in the right rib. The nature of the pain is intermittent or continuous dull pain. Before the pain, the patient will feel discomfort in the right upper abdomen.

From the location of peripheral lung cancer, it is lung cancer, and central lung cancer is a tumor originating from the hilar bronchus or hilar part of the lung. Common ones include squamous cell carcinoma and small cell lung cancer. Peripheral lung cancer refers to tumor tissue and lung tissue that occur around the lungs. Generally, adenocarcinoma is more common in the periphery. It seems that the disease is complicated. Patients need to understand it clearly to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
