Sinusitis migraine

Sinusitis migraine

Sinusitis, a more serious rhinitis, is particularly prone to causing other complications in patients. Even patients with severe rhinitis may experience headaches, nausea and vomiting. Many people believe that nausea and vomiting are caused by gastrointestinal diseases. In fact, sinusitis can also cause nausea in patients when it causes headaches. If it causes headaches, it will inevitably affect the patient's intelligence. So what should be done about sinusitis migraines?

Migraine caused by sinusitis has obvious regularity. It starts as a general headache and then gradually becomes localized to the upper inner corner of the eye socket and forehead on the affected side.

The main symptoms of sinusitis are:

1. Nasal congestion: It varies in severity and is mostly caused by congestion and swelling of the nasal mucosa and increased exudates. Nasal congestion can often cause temporary olfactory impairment. When accompanied by nasal polyps, the nasal cavity can be completely obstructed.

2. Excessive purulent discharge: The nasal discharge is mostly purulent or mucopurulent, yellow or yellow-green in color, and the amount is not constant. It mostly flows to the throat and has a foul odor on one side, which is common in odontogenic maxillary sinusitis.

3. Headache: Chronic suppurative sinusitis generally causes severe pain or headache. If you have a headache, it often manifests as a dull pain or a feeling of heaviness in the head, which is worse during the day and less severe at night. The former group of sinusitis often causes swelling or dull pain in the forehead and root of the nose, while the latter group of sinusitis often causes headaches in the top of the head, temporal region, or occipital region. When suffering from odontogenic maxillary sinusitis, it is often accompanied by pain in the upper teeth on the same side.

4. Others: Because purulent mucus flows into the pharynx and long-term mouth breathing, it is often accompanied by symptoms of chronic pharyngitis, such as excessive sputum, foreign body sensation or sore throat. If the Eustachian tube is affected, there may also be symptoms such as tinnitus and deafness.

5. Chronic ethmoid sinusitis often coexists with chronic maxillary sinusitis. In addition to the general symptoms of chronic suppurative sinusitis, the sense of smell is more obvious.
