How to prevent breast cancer metastasis?

The rare metastatic sites of breast cancer are lung and pleura, bone, skin soft tissue, liver, and brain. For metastasis in different parts, is it easy to treat after breast cancer treatment? Some patients agree that breast cancer cannot be treated after metastasis. This is not necessarily the case. Generally speaking, the treatment methods and treatment effects are different.

How to prevent breast cancer metastasis

Antibiotics are ineffective. Common treatment methods include platinum-based anticancer drugs (such as PDD chemotherapy. Like the CAP regimen, the lung is the most common metastatic site of breast cancer. The initial presentation is generally dry cough, NVB+PDD regimen, etc. Generally, more than 60% of patients can achieve complete regression of lesions in a short period of time.

At the same time, drugs are injected for intracavitary treatment. The drugs can be PDD, or the anti-cancer Chinese medicine elegans or biological agents such as necrosis factor. Generally, there will be good short-term efficacy. Metastasis to these two parts, pleural metastasis is generally manifested as pleural effusion. Thoracentesis can be performed to extract the effusion. After rational treatment, the long-term effect is generally good. Most cases can maintain 2 to 3 years of tumor survival, and a few can even reach 78 years.

Isotope therapy and radiotherapy. Endocrine therapy can take care of other organs in the body. Bone metastasis is also very common. It is generally more common in the thoracic and lumbar spine, pelvis and ribs. It is manifested as bone pain in the damaged area. The effect of chemotherapy is poor. The commonly used effective method is endocrine therapy. Isotope therapy only works on bones, and radiotherapy will damage normal organs in the irradiated area. It is limited by dose and site, so it is often only used for pain relief. Although bone metastasis is more serious, if it is not combined with metastasis to other parts, this case usually develops slowly and is sensitive to endocrine therapy. After reasonable treatment, unexpected temporary survival may be achieved. The author treated a patient with extensive bone metastasis of bilateral breast cancer 4 years ago. The use of endocrine therapy did not cause the lesions to disappear, but it could stabilize and slightly shrink them. The patient is still living like a healthy person.

Generally, it is sensitive to chemotherapy, skin and soft tissue metastasis and endocrine, and has a good effect in the near future. However, it should be noted that some patients only show some isolated metastatic lesions at the beginning, such as single metastatic lesions above the clavicle or in local areas. Some people only receive surgical resection + supplementary radiotherapy, but ignore the very important systemic treatment, and the second, third... metastatic lesions will soon appear.

Interventional therapy can often achieve good short-term results. Liver metastases are generally not very sensitive to chemotherapy and endocrine therapy. However, the extension of their survival is not very obvious. Brain metastases generally have a poor prognosis and are often treated with radiotherapy.

Whether advanced breast cancer can achieve the expected therapeutic effect, of course. A reasonable treatment strategy is very important. Some people want to achieve a good therapeutic effect, often using chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, radiotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine treatment, etc. at the same time. This is actually a lack of confidence in one of the treatments, and there is no bottom in the heart. Not only does it go against one's wishes and cause waste, but it also creates difficulties for further treatment in the later stage. Clinical experience has shown that in terms of treatment strategy, it is better to adopt a "relay race" rather than a "100-meter sprint" because different treatment methods have different mechanisms of action, and using them at the same time cannot achieve the effect of adding up the therapeutic effects, but using them one after another allows patients to always have new methods after one treatment method fails, thereby winning the longest survival period.
