What are the clinical manifestations of breast cancer

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women. Its onset is often related to genetics and is more common in women between the ages of 40 and 60 and before and after menopause. Breast cancer seriously affects women's physical and mental health. So how can we know if we have breast cancer? What are the clinical manifestations of breast cancer?

Clinical manifestations of breast cancer

(1) Nipple discharge: If the discharge is bloody or serous, further examination should be performed.

(2) Regional lymphadenopathy: The most common site is the ipsilateral axillary lymphadenopathy. Supraclavicular lymphadenopathy is considered advanced.

(3) Changes in breast appearance: The skin at the site of the lump may be seen to be bulging, and some parts of the skin may appear orange peel-like, or even edematous, discolored, or have eczema-like changes.

(4) In the early stage, a bean-sized lump can be felt in the breast, which is hard and movable. Generally, there is no obvious pain, but a few may have paroxysmal dull pain, dull pain or stabbing pain.

(5) The nipple is retracted near the center. The breast skin is slightly sunken (medically known as "dimple syndrome"), the nipple is eroded, the nipple is asymmetrical, or the breast skin is thickened and coarsened, and the pores are enlarged (medically known as "orange peel syndrome").

(6) Although some early breast cancer patients cannot feel a clear lump in the breast, they often have local discomfort, especially postmenopausal women, who sometimes feel mild pain and discomfort in one breast, or heaviness, soreness and discomfort in one shoulder or back, and even affect the upper arm on that side.
