What are the symptoms of advanced skin cancer

In recent years, we have not paid much attention to skin cancer. However, with the frequent occurrence of skin cancer, people are becoming more and more afraid of skin cancer. In severe cases, the skin will change color and look abnormal. Treatment and prevention of skin cancer are both very important. Before preventing and treating skin cancer, you should understand the symptoms of skin cancer. The following are the late symptoms of skin cancer for your reference.

Late symptoms of skin cancer: 1. Squamous cell carcinoma is often transformed from keratosis, leukoplakia and other precancerous diseases. It grows fast and forms ulcers in the early stage. Some are nodular or cauliflower-shaped, with less invasion into the deep part and a movable base; some are butterfly-shaped, with more obvious infiltration into the deep part, great destructiveness, and often involving bones. Squamous cell carcinoma is often accompanied by purulent infection, accompanied by malodor and pain. Regional lymph node metastasis is common. The author encountered a huge squamous cell carcinoma on the head, which had an extremely bad odor, more purulent secretions, and was prone to bleeding; when cervical lymph node metastasis occurred, the site of the disease was the junction of the mucosa and skin. Squamous cell carcinoma develops fastest, and patients with mucosal disease are more likely to metastasize.

Late symptoms of skin cancer: 2. Basal cell carcinoma often has no symptoms at the onset. In the early stage, it is mostly plaque-like papules with hard bases, some of which are wart-like protrusions, and then break into ulcers, which are irregular, with raised edges, like craters, uneven bottoms, and grow slowly. Metastasis is very rare, and first occurs as a shallow ulcer with translucent nodules on the edges, and then gradually expands, which can erode surrounding tissues and organs and become erosive ulcers.

Late symptoms of skin cancer: 3. Squamous cell carcinoma is more common in people aged 30 to 50, while basal cell carcinoma is more common in people over 50. The former develops quickly and often grows rapidly in a short period of time; the latter is slow. Squamous cell carcinoma is more common in the lower lip, tongue, nose, vulva, and at the junction of the skin and mucous membranes. The ulcer has a high edge, is red and hard, and is ring-shaped and cauliflower-like in appearance. The surrounding inflammatory reaction is significant, and there are often regional lymphadenopathy. Basal cell carcinoma is more common in the eye socket, inner canthus, nose, cheek, forehead, and back of the hand; the ulcer edge is waxy, nodular, and rolled up, and some are black. The inflammatory reaction is mild or absent, and metastasis is very rare. It mainly infiltrates into deep tissues.

The above are the late symptoms of skin cancer.
