The cause of lung tumor is related to diet

Most lung tumors originate from the bronchial mucosal epithelium, so they are also called bronchial lung tumors. Generally speaking, we know that the causes of lung tumors are generally related to smoking, air pollution, inhalation of harmful substances and chronic lung diseases. Another thing we need to know is that the cause of lung tumors is also related to diet.

(1) Vitamin A: Scientists have investigated lung cancer patients and found that they rarely eat dark green leafy vegetables rich in beta-carotene, which is a precursor to synthesized vitamin A. Vitamin A deficiency can cause squamous metaplasia in the respiratory epithelium, and this cell change is generally considered to be a pre-neoplastic manifestation of lung cancer. Therefore, vitamin A deficiency is also one of the causes of lung cancer.

(2) Insufficient selenium intake: Insufficient selenium intake has become one of the causes of lung cancer. Low selenium levels may be related to the lack of meat and eggs, because meat and eggs have high selenium content. Of course, the foods with the highest selenium content are crabs and prawns, so people who are prone to cancer may want to eat more of them.

(3) The consumption of saturated fat is a cause of lung cancer. The high-temperature processing of red meat can produce tumorigenic substances - isocyanate. Eating a lot of red meat that has been cooked for a long time or fried meat will increase the risk of lung cancer in women.

Therefore, in our daily diet, we must first focus on the intake of vitamin A and selenium, reduce the cooking of fried foods, and increase the intake of fresh vegetables, fruits, carotenoids, etc.

In addition to diet, smokers should also pay attention to the importance of quitting smoking. In addition, those who are often exposed to certain occupational tumor-causing substances, such as asbestos, arsenic, ionizing radiation, especially radon and its daughters, soot, cooking fumes, etc., must pay attention to reducing the chance of contact and try not to contact them. Of course, we must also protect the environment and reduce environmental pollution. Don't let lung cancer become a punishment for us.
