Patients with laryngeal cancer may experience swallowing pain

Laryngeal cancer is a disease with a very high incidence rate and a very high mortality rate. Laryngeal cancer patients may experience swallowing pain, but it is not possible to determine the condition by just looking at it. We can look at other symptoms of laryngeal cancer , as shown below.

Symptoms of laryngeal cancer generally include the following:

Pain in the inner ear: When laryngeal cancer develops to a certain extent and produces ulcers and severe inflammation in the throat, it can cause reflex pain in the nerves. Early vocal cord tumors generally do not produce reflex pain. Reflex pain mainly occurs in patients with supraglottic tumors in the middle and late stages. A common symptom of laryngeal cancer is pain in the inner ear on the same side.

Blood in sputum: Since the tumor carries a large number of abnormal new blood vessels, patients often find blood in their mucus or sputum after coughing. This symptom is mainly seen in patients with supraglottic and subglottic tumors and patients with mid- to late-stage vocal cord tumors. Early vocal cord tumors generally do not cause bleeding, which is also a symptom of laryngeal cancer.

Foreign body sensation in the throat or pain when swallowing: These symptoms are symptoms of supraglottic laryngeal cancer, but once a tumor originating from the vocal cord develops to the middle or late stages, it will also cause a foreign body sensation in the throat or pain when swallowing. This type of symptom is often not obvious at the beginning of the disease, so patients and doctors are more likely to ignore this symptom of laryngeal cancer.

Difficulty breathing: When the tumor deteriorates severely and increases in size at the primary site, it will directly block the trachea and affect breathing or make it difficult for tracheal secretions to be discharged, leading to difficulty breathing. This is a symptom of advanced laryngeal cancer.

The above is the explanation given by experts on the symptoms of laryngeal cancer. I hope it can help you answer your questions. Experts remind everyone that if you suffer from any disease in your daily life, you must not delay treatment. This is very dangerous. Some diseases will worsen or cause other diseases.
