What are the clinical manifestations of super male syndrome

The symptoms of super male syndrome are very obvious, that is, the body will be too tall. Although tall stature is pursued by many people, it is also very painful if the height is abnormal. In addition, the patient may also have mental abnormalities. He will feel that he has a tendency to be violent, and he is easily emotional. He can't control his emotions, and even commit crimes. Therefore, it is best to control it in time when the disease occurs.

Clinical manifestations

The main symptoms are extremely tall stature, even taller than Klinefelter syndrome, and intelligence below average, with most IQs ranging from 60 to 79. Since Jaeobs et al. found that the XYY karyotype was more common in mentally ill patients with violent tendencies, it was believed that patients with XYY syndrome had a violent temper and were easily excited. It was also found that there were more XYY patients among criminals. Patients may present with nodulocystic acne and skeletal deformities, particularly synostosis of the radius and ulna. The patient's gonads and secondary sexual characteristics are the same as those of normal men, but there is a mild testicular dysfunction, which manifests as sperm formation disorder; blood testosterone levels are normal, and FSH and LH are slightly elevated. XYY syndrome also has some variations. The literature reports that the karyotypes include XYYY, XYYYY and X/XYYY chimeras. The patients are all children, most of whom have mental retardation and mild multiple truncal deformities.

According to statistics (there have been a series of reports abroad), the criminal crime rate among patients with XYY syndrome is higher than that of the normal population, approximately several to ten times higher. It is worth noting that the crime rate in patients with another chromosomal abnormality, 47,XXY, is also increased, similar to that of those with a karyotype of 47,XYY. This shows from the opposite side that the extra Y chromosome is not the decisive factor, but the mental retardation and central nervous system abnormalities that both of them have should play a decisive role.

Its variant 49, XYYYY, has an extremely violent and destructive personality, bent fifth finger, hypoplastic metacarpals and phalanges, hypoplastic testicles, sparse whiskers, and bilateral syndactyly.

The karyotype is 48, XYYY is less common. Average intelligence or mental retardation.
